It’s our fourth trip to here and still can’t talk highly enough on this park. A small run family owned and operated park just out of Beechworth. You can’t talk highly enough of the parks that are run and operated by the owner and family. Tucked away in the trees ,the small park makes you feel at home straight away. The park is nestled in the trees and the sites are large for powered and unpowered. Good area down the bottom for families while the upper areas are good for the nomads “..minus -the -kids” The amenities are older but still very clean and tidy , with a good pool and playground for the kids 5 stars for this trip , which matches all the previous trips from @binchickenexpress

The site is in a pretty location outside the township. We had a powered site and it was an adequate size to accommodate our larger van. The place is clean throughout but the amenities, entrance, etc are looking rather tired and in need of an upgrade. This site has considerable potential but needs money invested in it to bring it up to a comparable standard to those I consider to be 4 and 5 star parks. With Optus, we couldn’t get a mobile phone signal. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the quiet, peaceful surrounds.

We stayed in a Miner's Hut and it was simple but had everything we needed. Could not fault the helpfulness of the owners, Alice and Andrew - friendly, pleasant to deal with and flexible about things. Whilst not quite walking distance to town (unless you want a small hike!) I thought it more informal and less hectic than the caravan park at Lake Sambell. It is an easy 5 min bike ride into town and it is on the road to Stanley so not far to drive or cycle there also. It is wonderfully located also for walks and MTB rides to Lake Kerford or back into Beechworth - great tracks leading directly out of the back of the park straight into the bush.

Staying with friends who also had a van, the area was beautifully shaded with tall trees, had 2 x toilets, camp kitchen, play equipment and a variety of cabins on the lower area alongside the Silver Creek. If your van doesn’t have a shower you’ll need to walk up a slight incline to get to the main facility block servicing the main part of the holiday park. Up top there were more van and tent sites, as well as more cabins. Camp fires are available and wood is $15 per bag. Town is a 2 min drive away. It was a beautiful, relaxing area and hard to leave!! Andrew was lovely to deal with.
