The owner Elaine greets you with a warm welcome, shows you around the house and tells the history of the building. She told us some of Beechworths history, there are coffee table books on the subject in the lounge room.
The rooms are warm, bed is comfy, extra such as umbrella, ironing board are to be found in armoire. Bedroom was very quiet.
There is parking for 3 cars on site.
Breakfasts are plentiful and a good choice that should suit everyone. This is served in the dining room around a communal table, we had wonderful fellow guests to talk with each morning.
The lounge room is a lovely space to spend time in after dinner, we set the fire and enjoyed that very much on 2 evenings.
Elaine provides a lovely gift of Florentines, carafe of port and small bottle of proseco. A nice touch.
We spent 3 night here, and were very happy with our choice of accommodation.
The only quibble I had was low water pressure in the shower, but this is a first world problem, and by no means detracts from our enjoyment of staying at The Grace's.
During our stay there were 2 other couples that were return guests, that says a lot about a business.
We would definitely stay here again on visits to Beechworth.
Elaine was a great host, from providing afternoon tea on arrival, making delicious breakfasts and showing us around the property. She provided lots of information about the history of the area and advice about things and places we would want to see and do, which made our short stay really interesting and enjoyable.
We will certainly be back , thank you Elaine
The Graces was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our room with ensuite was cool after the heat outside and very quiet. The cooked breakfast each morning was delicious.
Highly recommend The Graces for couples and we would love to return one day.
My wife and I decided to insert a break of a few days into our trip driving to Melbourne to see our son. We decided to spend a few nights in Beechworth and settled on "The Graces" , and we were glad we did.
When we arrived we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable host, Elaine, who showed us to what was an excellent comfortable room, more importantly with a comfortable bed.
Our breakfast was more than ample and can be either served in your room, the dining room or the garden. We selected the dining room given the time of year (it may have been cool outside).
The Graces is within easy walking distance of the town, it's restaurants and attractions.
Elaine was very knowledgeable of the districts history, attractions and eateries which was good as it was our first time in the area.
On the whole the stay was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Graces to friends or stay there again.
The room was spacious, clean and well appointed.
I would happily stay at the Graces again on a future trip to Beechworth, particularly because it is very centrally located, which allows you to explore the town by foot.
