We finally got our 4 days in Beechworth and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Beautifully presented and perfectly suited to the region and the history of the town. A big thanks to Elaine for making us feel welcome. Quiet location within a very quick walk to the main street. We look forward to coming back!
Husband and I spent two night here, to celebrate his birthday in June. It was exactly what we needed. The room was exactly what we expected from the photos, and super warm and cosy. Very comfortable King size bed with ample pillows, a wool doona and very efficient heating. Elaine our host was super welcoming, and had lots of great tips of where to go, what to see, and where to eat. Her breakfasts were amazing - she makes a mean cup of tea! Honestly wished we'd booked to stay longer.
Staying at The Graces was like stepping back into a further era. The attention to detail of the fittings was excellent. The rooms very comfortable and we were certainly made to feel very welcome. The options for breakfast were very good as the host was very accommodating when we had to have breakfast earlier than the normal time frame. The host has gone to a lot of trouble to provide historical and current information on Beechworth and surrounding area. Take time to read the book that is in your room. Very good value and we certainly will be back again.
Its rather strange doing a trip advisor review after so long being cooped up because of Covid. My wife and I decided to insert a break of a few days into our trip driving to Melbourne to see our son. We decided to spend a few nights in Beechworth and settled on "The Graces" , and we were glad we did. When we arrived we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable host, Elaine, who showed us to what was an excellent comfortable room, more importantly with a comfortable bed. Our breakfast was more than ample and can be either served in your room, the dining room or the garden. We selected the dining room given the time of year (it may have been cool outside). The Graces is within easy walking distance of the town, it's restaurants and attractions. Elaine was very knowledgeable of the districts history, attractions and eateries which was good as it was our first time in the area. On the whole the stay was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Graces to friends or stay there again.…
I had booked The Graces for my hen's night before the wedding. The hospitality was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. We were greeted very warmly and given a tour of the house. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable to sleep in. The house is beautifully decorated and the Elaine had food prepared for us girls, it was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here.
We stopped over for our first night on our NSW road trip (starting in Melbourne). The Graces's name says it all...a graceful setting in a beautiful old graceful 1850's house and a very graceful host Elaine. The room was large and had everything we needed. Really good linen and comfortable bed is always an a plus along with the little extras Elaine provides like a small jug of port and really good florentines. We sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed the small bottle of excellent local prosecco (also a delightful gift from our host) We slept really well as the room had good blackout curtains and the house was really quiet. A very generous breakfast (cooked really well by Elaine) can be enjoyed in your room, the dinning room or as we did outside in the garden as it was such a beautiful morning. Off street parking on the site is also another bonus. Easy walking distance to the 2 main streets and activities in Beechworth. Loved the whole experience ....thank you so much Elaine.…
We recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed at The Graces and absolutely loved it. Elaine was fabulous and the breakfasts were amazing. We loved being able to walk everywhere and Elaine was a wealth of information on sites to explore.
Really enjoyed a short stay at The Graces. Lovely property and Elaine the host has thought of everything you could possibly need. Please be aware the check in time is 3pm, not 2pm as some booking sites suggest, though we were able to check in early thanks to Elaine being available. Would love to return and stay again.
I had a great stay at The Graces Beechworth. Elain the owner is very friendly and ensures you have everything you need, including recommendations for places to eat in town. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. I would happily stay at the Graces again on a future trip to Beechworth, particularly because it is very centrally located, which allows you to explore the town by foot.
Beautiful historic home. Great to be greeted and welcomed so warmly. Beautiful and very comfortable room prepared with great thoughtfulness. Breakfast had lots of options. Also very close to the centre of Beechworth. Also very helpful tips on where to go and what to do in the area.
