Detailed Reviews
A wonderful holiday experience: the accommodation was excellent and the evening dinners were first rate. One of only three at the site, the 'Citron' unit was luxurious, spacious and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The new bath is a highlight. All evening meals and the breakfasts had a fine French basis as our hosts Denis and Carolyn had spent over five years conducting similar in Savoy, France and also in venues in Australia. They made full use of local and organic ingredients. The standards of both the accommodation and meals represent excellent value for money. It was too cold to enjoy the magnesium pool unfortunately but it would be a most enjoyable indulgence in season.

We recently enjoyed a three night stay at Beechworth House and can absolutely recommend this property as a wonderful destination for anyone wanting excellent hospitality and accommodation. Denis,Carolyn and Alan were very gracious hosts who made sure that we wanted for nothing during our stay. We enjoyed two fabulous meals in house prepared by Denis and Carolyn in their beautiful French inspired kitchen/dining area. The other reviews are spot on- the soufflé was the best!
Accommodation was away from the main house in a suite complete with a small kitchenette including a microwave. The bed was beautifully comfortable, the towels were fluffy and the room was spacious with lovely views to the garden.
Would love to return and include a cooking class next time. Thanks again.

Beechworth House offers delightful boutique accommodation on the outskirts of historic Beechworth. A warm welcome awaits guests from hosts Denis & Carolyn. The accommodation is seperate to the main house, is beautifully furnished in a contemporary but homely style and has all of the amenities that one requires for a perfect stay. One of the joys of staying at this very fine property is the gourmet food available for both breakfast and dinner. Denis and Carolyn also have a superb wine cellar and offer a diverse range of both local and international wines at reasonable prices. We highly recommend Beechworth House but book direct for the best deal.
Thanks for your warm hospitality Denis & Carolyn, we very much look forward to a return visit.

Beechworth House is an oasis for travellers between Melbourne & Sydney.
After having stayed here on four occasions in the last 6 months we are devotees.
This charming B & B is a beautiful sandstone cottage with three seperate, beautifully appointed apartments, with modern, recently renovated bathrooms, a few minutes out of town.
The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained & inviting.
Tastefully appointed with quality inclusions, bedding and efficient heating & air conditioning.
Your friendly hosts Denis, Carolyn & Alan will make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Indulge in chef Denis’ scrumptious breakfasts in your room and let him prepare a beautiful dinner for you in the main house.
We cannot recommend this lovely place too highly, a shining light of hospitality.
Do yourself a favour and stay soon.

This French inspired tranquil escape in Beechworth is a slice of heaven and highly recommended. There are just 3 luxury rooms, all with every amenity you could need and secluded privacy. I stayed 2 nights in the Jardin room and woke to the little birds singing in the garden which was a delight. My international friends were in the larger Le Tour room and agreed this was a wonderful place to stay. Fabulous hosts, very comfy bed, great linens, well set out fridge/ kitchenette facilities and a stunning bathroom! And if that wasn’t enough, there is also an incredible private pool set in amongst the trees and a cosy fire in the dining room for the winters. The private guest only dinner from our wonderful professional chef was divine (the soufflé was perfection) and coupled with an excellent wine cellar. I’m already planning my return visit! Book direct for a great rate.

We stayed for one night and couldn't have wanted for more. I was there for my birthday and the dinner prepared by Dennis was beyond delicious! I have an aversion to Ginger but this was no trouble for the chef who created three course of heaven. Paired with a lovely local wine, wonderful ambience and hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We stayed in the 'Le Tour' suite and it wanted for nothing (except perhaps some tissues?) and was full of added extras. We choose to take breakfast by the pool and the fruit platter was fresh, juicy and delicious. Could not recommend Beechworth House more highly. We will be back for sure.

We spent a fabulous night at Beechworth House during our recent visit to the beautiful King Valley wine region. The garden and surrounds offer a peaceful haven to unwind. The suite (Jardin), beautifully appointed with great amenities and comfortable bed - the only thing we missed was there was no hand and body lotion (maybe it was being refilled 😊). Denis and Carolyn are wonderful hosts and the 3 course dining experience from our 'private chef' Denis, was outstanding. The balance of flavours and presentation of the Garlic Prawn entrée was delicious and the Lemon Soufflé was picture book perfect and was perfect until the last spoonful! Breakfast served in our suite, was also faultless, so too the homemade jam!
Thankyou Denis and Carolyn, we are so grateful for the fabulous experience, hospitality and memories of our stay at Beechworth House and we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Beechworth house. Comfortable, quiet and clean room where you could really relax. The hosts (Denise, Carolyn and Alan) were very welcoming and friendly especially to our little Beagle Lilly. We had dinner cooked by in-house chef Denise two nights in a row. Would recommend. Great setting sitting outside enjoying a delicious meal - must try is the Soufflé!

We had a lovely one night stay at Beechworth House en route to Melbourne. The garden and grounds are beautiful and the pool and deck with sun loungers was a lovely place to spend the afternoon. Our room was large with a beautiful bathroom and all mod cons. We had dinner and breakfast - both prepared by a chef and both really lovely. It was great to be able to order a bottle on wine from their cellar, meaning we did not have to leave the property once we arrived.
A really quality stay I would highly recommend.
