Detailed Reviews
On a return visit to the lovely historic town of Beechworth, we stayed yet again at the Beechworth on Bridge Motel. It is not a large motel, but the rooms are comfortable and you are made to feel welcome. Car-parking conveniently at the door-front and on an ever so hot day when we arrived a small but beautifully clean swimming pool was just what we needed. Add to that a cooked breakfast included & delivered to our room promptly in the morning.

We found the owners pleasant and thought this motel was good value, particularly with breakfast delivered at a very reasonable price. The motel is in a quiet spot off the main road and has pretty gardens, an attractive pool area and sheltered outdoor seating spots. Our room was well fitted out with a comfortable King size bed, crisp white sheets, an excellent, quiet air conditioner, large TV screen and a small table and 2 chairs. There was a generous supply of coffee pods, tea and biscuits.
Not so impressive was the bathroom which, although clean, was in need of an upgrade. There was an old toilet and toilet seat, a slightly damaged and stained sink, and a shower which had a mysterious tiny sloping shelf which would not hold your toiletries. For that reason I could not mark this 4 stars, but otherwise we had a very enjoyable stay here.

Response from Beechworth On Bridge Motel, Owner at Beechworth On Bridge Motel
Responded 9 Feb 2021
Thanks Jayne for your review and 100% agree with you! The bathrooms were meant to be done last winter but with Covid hitting hard and no income for months that money was kept to keep our doors open and surviving. Being a small country town it is now hard to get trades in to do these sorts of big jobs which has set us back slightly. We hope to see you again in the future albeit with new bathrooms hopefully! Kind regards, Beechworth On Bridge Motel

We spent three nights at Beechworth On Bridge and we were so glad that we chose to stay there.
The location is perfect, just before you get into the town itself, so it’s reasonably quiet.
There is a pod coffee machine with pods supplied, biscuits and milk and breakfast is included.
The rooms are very comfortable with a king bed, a dining table and comfortable chairs to relax whilst watching television.
Outside has some really lovely sitting areas, most are shaded. There is also a barbecue that can be used.
The owners, Stephanie and Daniel are so very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble for them. Such a lovely couple.
We will definitely be staying there again, we would not consider any other motel.
We really do have to stay there again because when we got home we realised we had a couple of their clothes hangers, so we have to go back to return them. Not that we need a reason..

Booked 2 nights in a Twin Room (Queen & Single) using the hotels website, which is easy to use.
The rate includes a cooked or continental breakfast.
Arrived to a friendly welcome with very easy check in, milk carton handed over with the key.
We were allocated Room 1. Its a traditional single storey motel with parking out the front door.
Our room was very clean, with a fabulous quiet ac system, & also the fridge was quiet too. There is an openable window in the room. The beds were comfortable & the wifi excellent. There is a coffee pod machine with pods provided & replenished each day, but teabags are there as well & a packet of biscuits again all replenished each day. Toaster, kettle, ironing board & iron, microwave & tv.
The ensuite had a shower with good water pressure & an openable window.
Your choice for breakfast needs to be in by 9pm the previous night, & as mentioned this is included in the rate. It is a generous quantity of food delivered to your room.
The location is a little out of town, up the main street & over the gorge on the Wangarratta Rd. We had a car & were seeing touristy things so its location suited us, especially the quietness.
This hotel is very good value, we liked everything about it.

I was looking online at places to stay in Beechworth using various accommodation booking sites with prices similar to each other. I ended up ringing the motel directly and received a better rate, which was awesome. We stayed 4 night (5 people) and had two rooms. We arrived in Beechworth and headed for the accomodation. When booking in we were met by a polite, relaxed well informed man who could not have been more helpful. Our rooms were side by side with adequate parking directly out front of the rooms.
The motel surrounds were clean, tidy and well presented offering plenty of outdoor seating in both the shade and the sun.
The rooms themselves were well equipped and clean which is more important in these Covid days. The beds were comfortable and rooms had a couple of small treats which were pleasant surprise, being complementary custard cream biscuits, coffee pod machine and complimentary breakfast daily.
The accomodation is located just a short walk from the town centre while offering peace and quiet of a small country town.
If in Beechworth I would recommend the Beechworth on Bridge.

We stayed here for one night in March 2021. Booked on the day and got a great rate by booking direct. The property’s address is on the main road but the units all face a side street so it’s very quiet. The venue has a small pool, and a barbecue for guest use plus a couple of covered outdoor tables. You can cater for yourself because the room has crockery, cutlery, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee machine and kettle. You can borrow DVDs from reception.
We had a twin room with a queen bed plus single bed and good bathroom, all very clean too.
The only thing you might consider is that it’s more than a 1km walk to the town (say the honey shop), but this wasn’t a factor for us.
We’d stay here again and recommend it.

We can highly recommend this family owned motel with friendly professional owners. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very well equipped, comfy beds with good quality linen and towels. Breakfast is delivered to your room and was included in our rate and you could choose either continental or cooked breakfast. We ordered Eggs Benedict and they arrived at the specified time, piping hot and were absolutely delicious. The room has a coffee machine, microwave and toaster. Shaded sitting areas in the garden for guests, big BBQ and swimming pool.

We spent three nights here and it was great to support a local business in a small town. The hosts, Daniel and Stephanie were very friendly and accomodating. A highlight was definitely the cleanliness of the place (cleaned daily), the complimentary biscuits, tea, coffee and milk as well as the complimentary breakfast which was yum! The rooms themselves were decked out with very comfy beds and couches, and a great AC system. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor areas to relax, and although we didn't have a chance to try it, the pool looked very lovely and clean as well. Overall it was a great stay, and we would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family!!

Me & my 10 yr old granddaughter stay there whenever we are in Beechworth which is pretty regularly.
Why such a beautiful space, the rooms are always so fresh clean and Beautifully laid out .
The owners make you feel so welcomed and go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible
They are such a genuinely kind and caring couple and they work hard to ensure the standard of service rooms and grounds are beautifully maintained.
I especially love how it’s perfect for families single’s with kids couples we are all welcomed and it’s so relaxing nothings an issue for them
Ive stayed in others when it was booked out and not one comes close to what you get value 4 $ and it’s such a safe place which is very important for single parents. Anyone really but especially if your travelling alone with children
Love the place

This is another level up from the average chain hotel/motel. One can tell that this is a family-run motel from the beautiful gardens surrounding the car park to the warm cooked breakfast delivered to the room and extra personal service. The older-style room had a king bed, couch, small dining table and tea/coffee facilities as well as extra biscuits.
There were some minor issues with the sliding door for the bathroom persistently jamming and the towel rail coming off the door. Location is a little outside the main town shopping area. Motel is just off the main road and it was very quiet.
