A two night stay wasn't long enough! The Crystal Suite was beyond our expectations- beautifully appointed and the absolute lap of luxury. Heidi and Jim were magnificent hosts, a wealth of local knowledge and 'Jim's special' of scrambled eggs with feta and olives is to die for. Nothing was too much trouble and we loved the exquisite touches such as embroidered napkins and complimentary port in the living room/s. My husband Greg and I spent 3 wonderful days in Beechworth and stayed at an historic, luxurious and distinctive B&B, Freeman on Ford, in centre of town. Perfect location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bakery, etc. Our room was beautiful, very comfortable and overlooked the lovely pool area. Exemplary service, cooked breakfast and delicious afternoon tea. A perfect stay! Our hosts, Heidi and Jim, are very friendly and made us feel very welcome and special. We will be back!

We stayed two nights at this gem and from the moment we were greeted by Heidi we felt at home. Heidi immediately upgraded us to a superior room with no stairs – next to the amazing pool and courtyard - as my wife is pregnant and from there it was perfect. This set the scene for the perfect stay! We were looking for a relaxing getaway and this place provides everything you need. The accommodation is so good you feel like you are in a Mexican mansion, the marble tiles are amazing, the bathroom and beds are just spacious and comfortable, you will treat the place like home and it is spotless. Plenty of room and the common rooms are fantastic too. The attention to detail in the renovation of this hotel is amazing The accommodation is on the main st and a close walk to all the restaurants and Heidi will provide recommendations for dinner and places to go. Detailed guidance is provided in advance so you can make bookings which may be essential in busier times. The breakfast is insanely good, you order ahead and it is immaculate and delicious and no cost is spared by Heidi believe me. The attention to detail is amazing. On arrival you will have a cake – which is so good! Make sure you leave room for dinner. The cake is the best you will ever have. We loved our stay, we were seeking a relaxing and comfortable short term break and that what Heidi and Freeman on Ford provided. It’s a 10 out of 10 and we will be back! From the first contact to leaving the experience was outstanding. After confirming our booking Heidi sent me a comprehensive list of places to eat during our stay along with activities we may enjoy. We were warmly greeted on our arrival by Jim and Heidi and given a tour of the building and our room. Jim assisted me with the luggage from our car to our room. We stayed in the gold room which has quality fittings, bed, pillows and ensuite. The king bed was as comfortable a bed as we have ever experienced. After settling in we were served up an enjoyable afternoon tea. Breakfast both days was great, served up with a smile by Jim. All facilities are 5 star plus.. We will return!

This is truly luxurious. Ideally situated in the centre of Beechworth, everything is short walk. Dining, shopping and historic sights without getting in the car. The room we had was large and the bathroom was almost as big. We had a view out over the pool and the breakfasts were fantastic. Our hosts Heidi and Jim made sure we knew where to go and what to do. It was just like staying with friends. A most memorable stay thanks very much.

Amazing. Charming bed and breakfast. Bedrooms were spotless and very comfortable. The host and hostess were very accomodating and offered helpful advice for cycling and dining in the area. Breakfasts were enormous and delicious. 10/10

This place is the place to stay in Beechworth, whatever the season. It is an historic building, beautifully renovated with antique furniture so tastefully curated. The hosts, Heidi and Jim are delightful, helpful, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. They have been a significant part of Beechworth for 30+ years, so they are informed and helpful. The location is central to Beechworth, close to everything you could want. The facilities are clean, extensive, and very tasteful. The breakfast is high quality, extensive and is presented differently each day. In the afternoon, the swimming pool beckons and in the evening, there is a sitting room, with port to finish the day! We had 3 glorious nights, and had wonderful conversations with the hosts. The memories will be treasured; and we hope to return next year - I thoroughly recommend this establishment.…

A fantastic location on Ford St in centre of Beechworth. Very neat and tidy B&B with excellent hosts Heidi and Jim. A lovely breakfast served in the dining room. There is also an outdoor pool in a beautiful setting. Car parking included. It was our second visit after 11 years.
