Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at Anglesea Family Caravan park over the Easter weekend. The site is well equipped with a few amenities blocks and camp kitchens.
The toilet and shower blocks were alway nice and clean, and there were also family bathrooms with baths in which are great when camping with babies and toddlers.
Our kids loved the jumping pillow and parks, great toddler indoor play area for rainy days. There was also a games room with lots or arcade type games the only downfall being you had to pay for all of these.
We found the site was very very busy and had lots of permanent sites which tainted our stay a little however this wasn’t anything to do with the actually site and we would stay again but at a different time of year.

The site was in a great location within a nice walk to the shops in Anglesea, the beach and within an easy drive to Torquay.

Great value for money

We came here for one night and pre-booked an area close to the sea. When we arrived I asked if there was a choice of site and was told that it was nearly full and so no. The reality was very different and there were actually lots of sites to choose from. This is not the service that other campsites give and I feel is just laziness on the part of the service staff.
We Enjoyed the location (close to the paths) and the facilities which were clean and hot water was plentiful. We paid $57 for a powered site which is reasonable value for money, pity about the service!

We stayed for a weekend and barely saw the kids! The jumping pillow was a winner, the pool area was lovely, though cold on a cloudy 18 degree Summers day and there was so much space for the kids to run around, play basketball / soccer, mini golf, playgrounds, plenty to keep them entertained. Our cabin was a pine spa cabin and though a little dated was really clean and had everything we needed including a full size fridge. The location is amazing being an easy walk to the beach, river, shops and pub for dinner which has huge meals. The staff we encountered were lovely and service was great. Would definitely stay here again especially as a family.

A basic powered site at this park was $60 per night and that was not during school holidays. Way too dear and very limited internet access. Incorrect and Curt message left on phone that we had 2 cars on our site. Upon contacting reception we only had one car we were basically accused of lying and when reception realised they were wrong there was no apology. Look elsewhere.

Site was basically dirt, WiFi didn’t work at all nor did the mobile work. Cost was very expensive, $25-$30 more than any other park we have stopped at since leaving Perth, WA.
Wild life was friendly. Toilets & showers were nicely set out but shower curtains could be a bit longer.

Staff were incredibly rude and unreasonable. Got told off for laughing too loud at 10 o clock by “security guards” that were so up tight and angry that they seemed like they wanted to fight us(mostly the old guy). After being told that music had to be completely off by 11pm they then proceeded to let more than one permanent caravan site play music and party until 1:30am. This place obviously picks favourites and treats their customers with double standards. Would not return and would never ever ever recommend this place to ANYONE. Do not even try it.

This park is all about avoiding even the slightest risk of Covid. Every single thing that might have fun for the kids is a heavily policed nightmare. They had a full time ‘Covid Officer’ making sure children didn’t come to the outdoor swimming pool on a 12 degree day unless their parents had shown a fully vaxed certificate and received a wristband (I am fully vaxed, but seriously, empty outdoor pool 🤷‍♂️). My daughter wanted to use the spa to warm up but it was padlocked shut 😂. Mask below my nose in reception and the receptionist immediately started yelling at us. It’s almost (but not quite) worth coming here just for the amusement of seeing how insanely strict they are about every little thing.
If you can handle the constant feeling of being watched, the playground and trampoline are actually pretty awesome.

Stayed in a wood cabin and we found it very expensive for the cabin itself. Although it was nice and clean I think the price is excessive.Great pool and kids area. Initially when we booked we paid a deposit and had to pay the rest at check in however I was called a few times days before arrival to pay balance, that’s fine except the miscommunication. Stipulated we had 2 cars, nothing was mentioned by reception when booking. On the day of check in we tried to call more than 10 times to tell them we’d be late however no response. At 6:30 I arrived and was not able to bring our 2nd car to the cabin rather parking it some distance away, bit of an issue with bags, young kids and a special needs guest. There is also ample space for a second car at most cabins. Went into reception to ask about a second car, had to pay $6 pn to park it on some grass however I was snapped at for being late despite trying to call. I was told they had a huge number of check ins, understandable, but not guests fault. I also think a 10am check out is a little early for the prices charged.Managers were lovely and the park is great, I’d stay again just a cheaper cabin :)

Playground, beach, shops, pool, restaurants and the unique experience of free roaming wild life.

The customer service here is outstanding. Highly recommend you stay here when heading towards the Great Ocean Road.

Coldly welcomed by 3 ladies in reception who were more interested in their phone calls than REAL guests. Checked in just before midday to be told that I should check the after hour box for my instructions and site details! Was there within working hours so a bit lazy on the staffs side . Told that I had to keep my dog in the dog designated area “ or else”! The dog designated area was disgusting and putrid next to swamp like conditions. . The powered site with a slab ( if you could call it that) was filthy and I was uneasy even walking on the surface because of the dirt and condition of the cloth. See photo. I felt like a second class guest for having a dog and the area that they have for dog lovers is well below standard and insulting . Don’t stay in this vile park. The price of $66 a night is still confusing to me as there was nil value at all.
The final nail in the coffin for this park was the bins - A disgusting standard and to get rid of your rubbish was a health hazard.
Keep driving and forget Anglesea Family caravan park
