An absolutely beautiful stay was had at Butlers Bend.
The villa has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Sit out on the deck in the sunshine and watch the bird life, kangaroos, fishermen, kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boarders on the river. Watch the fog clear over the hills in the morning, sit and soak up the sun on the couch in the nook, light a fire and watch the sunset behind the hills through the huge windows and unwind in the spa after a day exploring, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves (after spending time outside in the darkness star gazing).
From Butlers Bend you can walk to the shops, restaurants, pub, river, beach and lighthouse and explore Aireys Inlet or take a short drive to Anglesea Lorne and the Great Ocean road.
Butlers Bend villa was clean, well stocked with everything you need to cook in the kitchen, comfortable and warm bed, a choice of chairs to relax on outside.
We loved our stay and thank John for such a beautiful place to get away to for four days.
If you are thinking of booking Butlers Bend just do it!

My husband and I stayed here for a week with another couple over Easter. We spent a lot of time deciding where to stay and were so glad we chose Butlers Bend. The views of the river, valley and mountains are beautiful and the wildlife (including kangaroos and birds) is great. The only downside for two couples staying here is that the villas only have one bathroom. The villa was immaculate when we arrived (if only we kept it that way!). We really enjoyed the fireplace and the bbq got a good workout. If you are looking for a great place to stay with beautiful surrounds in Aireys Inlet, this is it.

My partner and I stayed 4 nights in April. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Butlers Bend and at Aireys Inlet in general. John and Pam provide fabulous accommodation, with everything at our fingertips; large and functional kitchen, clean and comfortable bedding, much storage space, plenty of wood for the fire, great bathroom with much water pressure, super laundry facilities.

The cabins are in close proximity to the Aireys Inlet township (pub, cafes) and also the Great Ocean Road and numerous hiking and surfing destinations.

We would highly recommend Butlers Bend.

Stayed here recently and was blown away by the beauty of the area and what a fantastic base to explore from. The villa was immaculate and had everything we needed. The owners were very flexible and were so helpful in not only making sure my wife and I were comfortable but gave us a heap of local knowledge so we ate at some great spots and our sight seeing was top notch. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough, already booked again for next year!

Great place, lovely owners. Very close to the hotel - you walk up the hill and you're there! Unit had everything we needed and the deck was great for an afternoon wine. Can recommend the local greek resturant for breakfast, it's also within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here in June. It was freezing but the fireplace kept us warm and cosy. Gorgeous villa, comfy bed, super clean and great service from the owners. Have stayed in a few places in Aireys Inlet over the years (we have family there) and would have to stay this is by far the best. Only wish we had tried it out years ago. Highly recommended!

We have just returned home after a terrific time of visiting and exploring the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. What a spectacular part of the Australian coastline and John and Pam have the ideal location to base your journeys from in Butlers Bend Holiday Villas at Aireys Inlet. My wife and I travelled with our two sons (2, 4) and we loved every minute of it. There was a reluctance to leave the comfort and surroundings of Butlers Bend to travel the Great Ocean Road as we were so comfortable where we were; however knowing that we had Butlers Bend to come home to each day made it all worthwhile. John and Pam were great hosts and their local knowledge of what to do, things to see and the best way to get there was invaluable. The quality of accommodation was first rate. The Villas are surprisingly spacious (accommodated the four of us for five days very comfortably) and to our delight, after experiencing other holiday cottages and houses, Butlers Bend was immaculately clean. Without being in the least be obtrusive, John made sure that everything was in order – from ensuring we had plenty of firewood to offering suggestions for day trips, meals and even the best bait to use for fishing for elusive bream in the neighbouring creek.

The kids loved Pam’s friendly manner and genuine interest in what they had been doing each day.

Butlers Bend Holiday Villas are ideally located in Aireys Inlet, everything from shops to restaurants to the local pub and beaches were an easy walk.

Thanks so much for your hospitality John and Pam. We loved our visit and will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending Butlers Bend to friends and fellow travelers.
