The Hotel definitely plays up its boutique status compared to the standards you’d expect in the UK. It is more shabby/chic than luxury and our room (the best in the hotel) smelt dank and damp. Although it apparently underwent a refurbishment in 2017, parts of it could definitely do with another makeover. However, the staff were all delightful and extremely helpful and you certainly could not fault the service. Breakfast (which is included) is a bit of a squeeze although you can use the lounge and the front courtyard which is part of the adjoining cafe, albeit slightly noisy because of the traffic in Oxford Street. It is a fantastic location to base yourself in Sydney, away from the central district but easily accessible on the 333 bus. Plenty of good eating and shopping options…
Bathroom needs renovation, mold around the shower window..Carpet needs cleaning or replacement. Super friendly service, good breakfast.Bar and social facilities individually furnished None of those chain hotels
Staff members at the reception were very helpful and friendly. Great location, 3 minutes walking to route 333 which comes every 6 min. and takes you to the City and Bondi beach. The room was cozy and comfortable
My wife an I stayed here for a music festival (Good Things) in Centennial Park. It is a wonderful location near the park and also great shopping in Oxford Street.and Bondi Junction is a very short bus ride away. There are some beautiful exclusive shops in the Paddington area. The hotel itself is an older building with quite small rooms/ There is a maze of corridors on multiple levels leading around and through the building. It is interesting and quirky. I loved it, some others won't and wheelchair access is limited. It is a pet friendly hotel which is rare in Sydney. While we were there they were offering doggy yoga as an activity. At no time was the presence of animals intrusive. Continental breakfast was included with our booking. There was a reasonable variety of good…
The hotel its older style on a busy intersection of Oxford and Queen St. The rooms are small and ours had a slight damp smell to it. The location is ok for sightseeing half way between city and Bondi beach its a shame more care not taken looking after rooms.
