My family (2 ad, 2 kids) stayed overnight to be close to the SCG. We had to get 2 rooms, one with a king and the other with a queen bed. We didn't really spend any time in the room. The king room was big enough and had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was VERY small! The...

Hi mharborne, Thanks for your review! We have a lot of guests that stay with us for events at the SCG and Allianz stadium due to the close proximate that you would have found it to be. Regarding the parking, I totally agree! Our car park is subject to availability and due to the restrictive parking situation in the area...

A beautiful piece of history tucked away into the historical area of Woollahra. Close to a main street of cafes, restaurants, bars and retail stores. Near to bus routes. Neat, clean, tranquil with friendly staff and pet friendly. I have enjoyed my stay here.

We booked a Standard Plus room for a 5 night stay. Could not be faulted. The room was a good size and very well appointed. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable selection. The hotel is well located, and enjoyed strolls down Queen street to various eateries and shops, and quite close by is Paddington with many eateries/bars/shops/. Very attentive staff....

Hi Mike T, Thank you for such a positive review, its always great to see! I recommend everyone that stays with us should take a little time and do as you have in exploring the local Woollahra and Paddington area, there are so many great boutiques and cafes/restaurants that really add to the experience of visiting the Eastern Suburbs. Cant...

I was staying overnight in Sydney on business. I wanted something close to the city and Woollahra worked for me. The room I was offered was beyond tiny, so small it made my room at home when I was a 5 year old seem like a palace. There was no window in this tiny converted broom closet, if one ignored...

prof_skunk, As you would have found when booking with the Hughenden, we have six room types which range in price and size. Our lead in room, which we label as a "Cosy Room" is quite limited in space, but has all the facilities required by our many regular guests who frequent them, either passing through or traveling to Sydney for...

Really enjoyed the stay. It is so artesian like going back in time. Only problems is some of the clients love to slam doors through the night and parking outside the grounds. Breakfast is great coffee is exceptional and everything is Fairley close by. Nice experience

The room is so small that if you place the luggage stand out for your bag you need to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom. Arrived after a 4&1/2 hour bumpy flight from Perth to the worlds smallest hotel room. No AC, a wardrobe that's too small to fit a suit jacket in and at 10:30pm no...

I stay here regularly and while there are things you could complain about as it isn't a luxury level 5 star hotel like the Sheraton on the Park (where we also stay regularly), this is a fine historic hotel that is wel worth the visit. The rooms are a little small, some even tiny, and the hotel itself is old...

Small room but comfortable. The bathroom was tiny with no where to place any toiletries at all. I had to put them on the floor. Great location, a short walk from central Woollahra. It is a great location to access Oxford St and the SCG. However, it is expensive, rooms are small, mine was noisy due to the fountain outside. I had my own pet cockroach, and the reception staff did not let me know about the WIFI access on arrival, nor was it listed in the hotel amenities brochure

HGDaily, Thanks for your review and Im sorry to hear of the unfortunate events which lead to you having a bad experience. As our rates are very much on par with the Sydney Market, next time you are in town why dont you opt for one of our higher room categories which offer more space. Kind Regards, The Hughenden Team.
