An easy walk from the hospital and the train station, this hotel is ideally located for hospital visits. The hotel car park is free for guests, unlike so many other hotels in the area and also unlike the hospital itself. The hotel offers a discount rate for those visiting for that purpose - obtainable from the hotel itself and cheaper than all the online rates I saw (and paid). Helpful and cheery staff.
The hotel room is relatively basic but has everything one needs. We had a double bed and a single bed, air conditioning, a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, elevator access and a reasonably-sized bathroom.
The new, adjacent restaurant, Keramic, is kitsch and inviting and serves superb food. Highly recommended.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I, despite multiple changes to our staying dates. Cameron in particular was extremely welcoming and hospitable.

Upon arrival the staff offered to take my friend's suitcase up to our room and when we asked, provided us with a microwave and toaster!

Our room was well equipped and very clean.

Although the hotel's location appears to be far from the city, we had no problem catching trains to and from the hotel. Even trains with limited stops will stop at Westmead station

It took me a while to find this hotel. My son was in Westmead Hospital, we needed somewhere close to stay. We now stay here every time we visit him. We live on the Gold Coast and drive down for long weekends. The proximity is fabulous, The Staff are magnificent, the rooms are great. I would recommend this for anyone who is visiting the Hospital, particularly people from out of town. The restaurant next door is also wonderful, good food and service.

Stayed here overnight as husband had a procedure at westmead hospital, we live a 2 hour drive from this hospital and we can highly recommend staying here.
For us it was so convenient, being a 5 minute walk to hospital from hotel, free parking, free wi fi, foxtel channels on TV, staff lovely, and discount for people attending hospital appointments. I would recommend booking ahead of time as was fully booked when we arrived.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel 175 pre and post medical procedures at Westmead Hospital. Location to hospital unbeatable, rooms and fittings clean and well maintained and having a very good cafe/restaurant (Keramic) onsite is a real bonus.
All this aside, the 5 star rating is ensured by the wonderfully supportive staff, led by Manager Cameron, who in particular, went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay in somewhat difficult circumstances.
Parramatta Mission should be very proud of the way staff operate their Hotel 175.
Thankyou
Trevor & Suzanne

We always stay here when we go to the hospital. If you call and book that way you can get hospital rates, if that’s where you’re going! So accomodating, and they’re more than happy to go above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable.
Parking is convenient and there’s plenty of it.
Such a convenient location, we stay there when we have things at the public and private hospital.
Close to bus stops, the station and great food locations.
The Thai a few doors up is amazing. Also the restaurant attached to the motel is great!

Been here twice while getting treatment at the Westmead Hospitals. A short walk to public and very short drive to private. A clean and comfortable motel. Room had a double and a single bed. Good for people recovering from surgery who need space. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. Eateries are a short walk away.

Basic and dated room, however very practical and great location especially for hospital appointments. Free parking provided. TV is small and not great but it has some foxtel channels. Bed was firm. Reception staff were pleasant. No other facilities like a pool or gym are on site.

I had to have a medical procedure at the westmead skin clinic. Stayed here two nights. It was a three minute walk from the skin hospital. Rooms clean, well equipped and spacious. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Restaurant on site and excellent Thai restaurants minutes away. An excellent choice for accommodation in Westmead

The Lodge offers reasonably priced, usable accommodation directly across from the main entrance to Westmead hospital. There were no kitchenette (deluxe) rooms available so we had a standard room and payed the extra $10 for a toaster and microwave. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The $80-85 shuttle they organised to and from the airport was excellent.
Westmead station is a short walk up the hill. (Turn left out of Wesley Lodge grounds.) Seniors can go anywhere on the system, all day, for under $3. We went to Katoomba one Saturday to avoid 'cabin fever'!
Nearby Parramatta Park was good for a breath of fresh air and some exercise.
Also up the hill are a few food outlets including Subway and Oporto. In the little shopping plaza near the station is a small grocers -not cheap but fine for bread, milk, fruit etc.(The big supermarkets are a train ride away in Parramatta's Westfield shopping centre.) Also in this plaza is the Newroz Cafe -a great find. Open during the day Monday to Saturday. Reasonably priced menu items -tasty meals with fresh salad. Take away options also available. The staff were lovely and offered a relaxing break from the medical round.
If you have to spend time around the Westmead or Children's hospital this accommodation can take some of the strain out of the situation.
