Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room was small and the bathroom even smaller but appeared reasonably clean. But during an afternoon nap someone else tried to enter out room (they still use actual keys). Management refused to give us the second key so we were afraid that someone else might try to enter our room during the night or while we were out. We then asked how we accessed the cable tv they advertised only to be told that since the tv unit was attached to the antenna by a cable then that was cable tv (only half the normal free to air stations actually available). Management offered a full refund if we left that night which we were happy to do as I was scared that someone may enter the room at anytime but alas now they are refusing to refund us.

Poor accommodation, very noisy and a spotlight at the front of the hotel felt like you were sleeping during the day. No service in the room for the 5 nights I was there. I saw a sign on another door about 'please service my room' but no such sign or information was in my room. I do not recommend this hotel. Expensive for what you get.

The hotel was perfect for me to stay and have a 5 minute walk to the hospital. The manager was fantastic and very flexible when i needed to add on extra nights. It was a basic room but very clean, bed was comfortable and a continental breakfast was included. Parking is quite cramped but free which adds up to a great saving over a week. It was very quiet at night and I thought value for money compared to what it would have cost me at other hotels. Maybe not suitable for a holiday but for visiting a loved one in North Shore hospitals its perfect.

It’s location was good. Near a train station, hospital and park but lucky we only stayed one night. Air con rattled all night. Couldn’t fill the jug with water as it wouldn’t fit under the tap. Shower was a trickle (literally) cold water only. Breakfast was a choice of rice bubbles or corn flakes or white bread. Noisy all night, tv too small and curtains didn’t close.

Let’s start with the positive. Good location, comfy bed. 15 minute walk to train station. Now the negatives. Room cramped, 50cm TV, live to air only, bar fridge broken and in free standing wardrobe with ironing board and iron. No power point on table for jug. Could not fill jug under bathroom tap, had to use a cup to get under tap to fill jug. Sat jug on bedside table to boil it. One only bed side light. Old air con/heater rattles and hums . Had to use air con the room was so stuffy the old window was so heavy could not open it. Shower was terrible had to run around to catch the drops and the water was hot then cold then hot, absolutely shocking. No screen on window in tiny cramped bathroom/toilet. Traffic noise was terrible . Parking tight and cramped and only limited spaces. Complimentary continental breakfast consisted of cornflakes, rice bubbles, one choice of milk no light or skim. White sandwich bread, the cheap stuff, no other choice, instant coffee and tea. That’s it nothing else. No hot food available . Told kitchen being renovated ?? But they advertise bacon and eggs on a poster at the front door and people had dinner there the night before ??? No problem we Had a beautiful breakfast at the Hotel Urban Sure cafe next door. No lift, had to go up five flights of stairs. No mention of this when I booked. so all in all very disappointed . The positive was we only booked one night ! Yay!!!!

The photos on the website did not display the room we stayed in. The heater/cooler was in the window and very noisy. A thin blanket was on the bed and another the same on the bottom of a very small cupboard with an iron on top. Carpet was stained and the curtains. We stayed the next night at another hotel which was minutes away, cheaper and much more value for money. room service, bathroom was spacious and spotless.
