Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was really worried after reading the reviews here but honestly I have nothing to complain about. Yes the parking corners are a bit tight but the actual parking is good. Reception was pleasant, gold Accor was recognised, yummy chocolate gift pack, 2 waters and 2 drink vouchers were provided. (Best Accor recognition pack received to date.) yes there is a chlorine smell from the foyer water feature. The bar wasn’t opened at the time we were told it was so we used our drink vouchers after we returned from dinner. Gold member room is on level 6 facing away from the busy road. It was spacious, clean and quiet. Wifi and air con worked well. It’s about a 20 min walk to Parramatta or a street full of fabulous Indian restaurants at Harris Park (not just curries is recommended). There’s a Woolworths supermarket, kfc and McDonald’s across the street. Once the light rail opens there will be a station about a block away. Parking cost $15

The room was great. Nice king bed and comfortable. Restaurant is only ok. The food for dinner was poor and i would recommend eating elsewhere. Breakfast was fine. Service was great at the restaurant and service desk. It was ok for the one night. If staying longer look elsewhere.

Nice location. 2 minute walk from the river - you can get a nice early morning run. Directly opposite to the supermarket and McDonald’s so you’ll never run out of food :) staff is very friendly. Stayed there for the FIFA FINAL WOMEN’S Cup 2023 and they organized a shuttle to and from the stadiums. Staff was very friendly to sort out and issue with the shuttle and refunded me on the spot when I reported it. Thank you for the prompt action. It’s also around a 30-minute walk to the station so you’re close to everything. Thank you to the team at Mercure for the warm welcome.

Very dated hotel in need of a renovation. We booked this in preference to the Holiday Inn - we were sorely mistaken. Upon arrival it was peak check in time so there was a line up, however it moved quickly and the staff at the check-in counter were polite and efficient. The water feature in the main lobby had a really strong chlorine smell, I had flashbacks to lining up for the kids swimming lessons. The hotel itself is in need of a renovation or update, the soft furnishings in our room where stained, the carpet was ripped and overall everything looked well worn, sad and tired. The car park has a VERY narrow entrance, beware of the concrete column on your left on the bend into the carpark ... saw two SUVs scrape this column while we stayed here. The buffet breakfast was good, kids liked the selections with the hot chocolate being a winner. I would not choose to stay here again.

6 Days paying average $248 per day, shower blocked, furniture missing from room, changed room newly painted, no soap, no face towel then to top off No hotwater for 2 days & I am not kidding! I class this as a 2 class Hotel. I suggest stay in Parramatta and check the Hotel room before you hand over your credit card. I normaly do not stay at Accor Hotels as I consider over charge, but take my advice Check conditions!

The worst hotel I have stayed in. it's the worst in all aspects. Who the hell gave it a 4 star, I wouldn't even rate it at 3. The main door for the room wouldn't lock easily, had to be pulled hard for it to lock, the room smelt, the hotel smelt, the carpets were dirty, the lifts had a foul smell.

I booked this hotel as it is part of the Accor group. I should have checked the location as I thought it would be near all the restaurants but sadly only fast food outlets are nearby. The hotel itself is certainly budget. The staff in the restaurant need to be more customer orientated. The food was ok. Nothing special. The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable.

As an Accor member, I have stayed in plenty of Mercure Hotels across the world. This is by far the worst. The hotel needs a good clean - chairs and lounge sun the foyer were stained. Room floor was stained with some sort of brown material (we were just hoping it was the previous guests chocolates🤔). Bathrooms walls had holes in it. Air conditioning did not work, and to top it off there was no housekeeping - apparently you needed to request his when checking in..?!! Nit entirely sure what we paid our tariff for - would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car.
