Detailed Reviews
I stayed at Mecure Parramatta on two occasions in Room 723. Despite some negative reviews from previous travellers, I have had all positive experiences.
Location
It is not located in the Parramatta CBD, but two bus lines stop right at door steps of the hotel, taking you to Parramatta CBD (train station) in 5 minutes. Or I walked once from Parramatta Westfield to the hotel in 15 minutes. There is a large Woolworth supermarket, a KFC MacDonald and a couple of other fast food outlets opposite the hotel.
Check in
Staff are very friendly, efficient and professional. They treat Accor members very well. The top floor is normally reserved to senior Accor plus members. I also received room upgrades, free in house security parking and welcome drinks. The on-site restaurant was closed due to Covid 19, but they offer in room dining to accord plus members for a 50% discount.
Rooms
Large airy and bright rooms. I found the bed is very comfortable. Shower pressure is excellent. My room faces main street, however the traffic noise is almost inaudible.
Facilities
I used the outdoor swimming pool and small gym. All are very good. I enjoyed it.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stays at this hotel and will certainly come back in the near future.

The 2 double beds were very comfortable. The room was spacious and comfortable and bathroom clean, with plenty of hot water. We dined both evenings in the restaurant and the food was good and portions generous. There is a bus stop on the door and only 5-10 mins ride into Parramatta. Very large pool, full size tennis court and large outdoor area if you are a smoker. Rosehill race course is close by and I would recommend this hotel if you are stating in the area.

The Mercure is like a tartan dressing gown, nothing fancy but it's comfortable and provides everything you need.
I ate dinner in the restaurant 3 nights running and it was very good - fresh, well prepared food. The breakfast buffet is less successful, although barista made espresso coffee is complimentary. There's an outdoor eating area if the weather is fine.
The gym is gloomy & unappealing with no natural light, however there's an easy running path along the Parramatta River nearby.
The swimming pool is good, with sunlounges and chairs. Staff leave lounge cushions out overnight so if it rains they get soaking wet. Also the pool area isn't tidie until 9am. Twice I went for a morning dip and there were used towels and some rubbish strewn about the place which was unfortunate.
Rooms are comfortable and of a good size. The bed is comfortable and bathrooms look fresh with a walk-in shower.

While the overall booking process was reasonably easy. The online system does not adapt to the actual room availability.Instructions confirmed at the time of booking to switch the room configuration from a queen to a twin double were ignored on arrival due to reallocation. This basically resulted in us getting a room serviced for 2 people instead of 3. There was plenty of parking but entry and exit was very inconvenient for a big sedan/suv. Front desk staff were very friendly and approachable but could not help with the booking issue resulting in a not so good sleep quality with a extra roll on bed. Primary use of the room was to sleep and refresh.

My wife and her 89 year old mother joined me in my stay for 6 nights. We had extended previously planned stay as our area had been bushfire impacted an having spent 3 nights centre in a n evacuation we wanted a break. The air at home and in Canberra had been causing my mother in law ill health. The assistant manager of Mercure Sovana Bhattarai was very kind and organised the rollaway and another needs to make our stay comfortable and secure. Congratulations to the entire staff who followed her leadership

Great price, comfortable beds, room was clean and welcoming. Staff very helpful and explained ways to use my loyalty membership to my advantage. Used the bus stop right outside motel to get to Parramatta Station. Supermarket and fast food across the road from motel. Parking was advertised as some free outdoor, however this would only be in the supermarket carpark, motel carpark was available at a cost though.

Service was very good through out. Checkin and Checkout was welcoming, fast and quick. Location is very good. Rooms are well-appointed. I will definitely come back here and happy to recommend to recommend this property if you plan to be in Parramatta. T parramatta station is around 10 minutes by walk from this hotel so not a bad option if you want to stay in a quiet location away from Sydney central.

Shower drain didn't drain properly. As a result water flowed to drain around toilet and ran out into carpet. When telling front desk they said face the shower closer to tiles and gave me more towels to put on ground. Made for a uncomfortable weekend with a wet floor and wet towels all weekend. Paid high price for room for long weekend. Staff were nice and location was good. However bathroom really was not acceptable.
The last night we stayed at a budget ibis it was nice to not have wet towels everywhere.

Overall room was clean and comfortable, great shower with good pressure. What was disappointing was that 1. You had to ask if you wanted housekeeping! Is this not built into the price? I stayed at a hotel recently where this was optional, however you were reimbursed with a voucher to their restaurant if you chose to skip housekeeping. There was no incentive here to skip it, in fact you had to report each morning if you DID want it! I think that’s a rip off. Also they were not offering room service when I stayed which was inconvenient.

Privilege room very comfortable. Hotel generally needs a facelift though. Staff are courteous but not at their posts when needed. Reception staff were missing whenever I attended and had to wait several minutes every time for a staff member to appear from a room behind the counter. Restaurant breakfast staff were never there. Had to go find them in the kitchen. Probably the worst service I've ever encountered.

There certainly is.
No,from memory
I didn't need to book parking when I stayed here.
The on site parking is 15 dollars per night. I think
