Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Check in was seamless, reception staff were friendly & efficient & room was large, clean & had good facilities. My concern is the brand standards are dropping & loyalty is useless, unless booked directly. Still, some benefits are advertised but denied. While the room was clean, I was dismayed at the condition of the carpeted walkways- stained, filthy & threadbare & everything has a price attached (scales/washing machine)-although great to at least have the laundry facility. Apparently, now a budget brand-although that was never my impression & not my experience in Europe? - regardless, cleanliness & maintenance are critical & create lasting(negative?) impressions. Great wifi & facilities-although 1 soap dispenser clearly was not filled during servicing. The other shock was the rooms are not soundproofed-which means guests arriving and departing at odd hours from adjacent rooms are heard very clearly-as were the children running up & down until the early hours. This is an airport hotel & as such peace & quiet are critical for guest's comfort. Restaurant was of very average quality & expensive for what was offered. Staff here were...not personable?? I only ate 1 meal here, under sufferance. There are some other options about 10-15 minutes walk around & opposite Mascot station. It is my first experience staying in the immediate vicinity of the airport, although I question the value with its current condition & offerings.. OK, if you sleep soundly & just need the bed..

Budget friendly. Family room - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Compact and very basic, however surprisingly comfortable beds. Was perfect for our very short stay post late night flight cancellation. Staff lovely and engaged and eager to assist

Once again we come back to this hotel as it’s one of the best in the area and the staff food and vibe are so good. Once again we are treated so well and Juanita at the front desk. Looks after everyone and made us stay amazing again thanks so much. Brad

The hotel itself was fairly average - nothing particularly impressive or disappointing about the rooms or facilities. However, the customer service left an extremely sour taste that will prevent me from ever staying at this hotel again. The issues started at the bar, where the bartender who served me was unbelievably rude and seemed to be bothered by the mere task of doing her job. Her negative attitude made what should have been a relaxing drink an unpleasant experience. The real kicker, though, was at checkout time. The night desk clerk was far too preoccupied making himself coffee to actually assist guests. When I approached to check out, he rudely raised his voice at me and barked that I should just leave my keys at the desk, as if I was an inconvenience to him. With such shockingly poor customer service from multiple staff members, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who expects even baseline politeness and respect. The accommodations may have been average, but the treatment from employees was unacceptable. I will not be returning, nor will I suggest this place to others based on the lousy attitudes I encountered.

Clean and comfortable for a short stay. Easily accessible and very convenient for domestic airport. Helpful staff. Reasonably priced for location. Walking distance to domestic terminals and 10 minutes by cab to international terminal.

The shuttle took 40 minutes to get to the hotel for what is supposed to be a 4 minute ride. The staff took my card, asked my name and put me in the wrong room anyway so I had to go back down. The kitchen staff left an hour before the kitchen was supposed to close. The room has way too much furniture and nowhere to store bags because of it. The sink in the bathroom has disgusting stains. The bed is hard as a rock. The housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:30 despite the DnD sign and 11 am checkout policy. Then the front desk immediately called to ask what time we’d be checking out despite an 11 am check out policy. This place is barebones, dirty and not filled with the most polite or bright staff. It would have been a better idea to sleep at the airport.

Room 211 & 238. The rooms were dirty, there were stains all over the carpet and the lounge seat and hair on the carpet. Food left in the refrigerator and room not properly cleaned and A/C didn’t work. We were originally put in Room 211 but it was dirty so was moved to 238 which was better but still disgusting 🤮 All the staff were amazing though and went above and beyond to try to make us feel comfortable even offering complimentary restaurant vouchers unfortunately no amount of vouchers could be enough to get me to sleep in those rooms. I was fortunate enough to stick to my principles and negotiate a full refund. We went next door to the Pullman Hotel which was amazing! I understand Ibis is a budget accommodation chain and I’ve happily stayed at other Ibis hotels before with no problems. But this is unacceptable and I’m sure Ibis is aware that it’s not acceptable. What I suspect they’re doing (as was the case with us) is booking out the dirty rooms to those who’s bookings have become non-refundable- then using that argument to not give a refund on a dirty room. Buyer beware!

Possibly the smallest hotel room ever. Even the handbasin was in the shower. Turned me off Ibis hotels for life. One night is better than the airport floor but thats about it. Sheets were clean and their is a bus to the airport however the bus driver tired to get us to pay him cash to get a ride on it - seemed like a dodgy deal.

It’s a very basic hotel, so don’t expect anything special. But if you just need a place to crash for a night before/after your flight, then it will do. Though the room is a bit tired, it is really clean and all the staff are super nice! approximately 10-15mins walking distance from the domestic airport.
