My family- 2 adults and a teenager stayed for 5 nights in a deluxe studio apartment . Luckily we had a balcony to spread out a bit. We could of done with a big fridge , not the bar fridge though. The sofa bed (according to my daughter) was uncomfortable but our queen sized bed was lovely. The air conditioner...

APARTMENT : This apartment is located in a secure block with swipe key entry to foyer and lifts. Myself and two teenage daughters stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect. The apartment was clean and modern, with a really comfy queen bed and a good single sofa bed. Squashy with the sofa bed set out but that was at...

We stayed in a studio apartment (508) and found it to be very comfortable. It had a fully equipped, very clean kitchen with a large fridge and all facilities needed. The bathroom was clean and a good size. Never ran out of hot water. The lounge area was comfortable and adequate however was looking a little tired. It didn't detract...

Given that yes, we had arrived less than an hour prior to check-in time, we were greeted with unpleasant staff that seemed to find it a nuisance to receive business from a couple that had pre-paid for a 4 night stay during summer. We politely asked if there were any private parking available seeing as we had overlooked this option...

You can't beat the proximatey of this accomodation, right in the heart of Manly. We stayed in room 219 which was right near the lift, although we didn't seem to hear much from the other guests coming and going. The room was clean and a decent size although the air conditioner was rather useless and I certainly wouldnt want to...

Rooms were not clean, very old & dated and with no maintenance! Expensive for what you got. And unfortunately was asked to pre-pay before arriving! After 2 nights of no sleep due to dripping air conditioning unit and paper thin walls, asked to be moved or refunded. Rude staff that basically couldn't see what the problem was! Moved to better...

We had a one bedroom apartment for 8 nights. We were really happy with the apartment. It was a large roomy one bedroom apartment - very clean and well stocked. The position in Manly is perfect and close to everything. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. We certainly did not find the apartment noisy - quite...

Great location for Manly - walking distance form the ferry and the beach. Apartment was as expected - very spacy 2 double beds with balcony - large bathroom with jacuzzi. Resort manager also arranged for me to have an early Sunday morning check-in which suited flying all the way from london. Room was spotlesly clean with a well appointed kitchen....

We stayed in a deluxe studio at Waterside Apartments for 8 days. Our apartment on the 4th floor was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location was excellent, being close to ferry and buses. There are plenty of cafes, bars and pubs a short walk away. Interesting shopping at The Corso, the beach is one block away. In the complex...

My family travels quite often and usually stay in one of the large chain hotels where the standards are consistent. We had to go to Manly for a family wedding and when researching the hotels for the particular weekend we needed the prices were very high (much higher than the city) and the TA reviews for these properites weren't particularly...

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
