Detailed Reviews
Our family of 5 stayed at The Sebel Manly Beach for 7 days, over the Christmas holiday season. We felt totally relaxed and pampered after our stay. We had two rooms, which were both better than the photos. The housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and professional, as were Reception staff. The location is the draw card, right opposite Manly Beach. No need to walk far for prime surf beach, which is patrolled too. The red and yellow flags are right there. Beach towels are available to use with sunscreen at reception. Downstairs there is a new Cafe which has great food, wine and coffee. Location wise, you can easily walk to the ferry, to access the city, or dine in amazing restaurants along the wharf. We will certainly be going back to stay again!

Dear MichelleBlw, It was nice to meet you before you departed the hotel. I am glad that I was able to make the booking and everything went smoothly. As I don't normally make accommodation reservation, it was unique experience and it shows I have not lost my reservation skills. Once again it was nice to meet you and thank you for taking time to share your experience. Looking forward to welcoming you back on December 2020. Kind regards Kyong Pang Hotel Manager

This is a great accomodation option in Manly. Located across the street from the beach and surrounded by many eateries and bars.
We stayed in a deluxe beachfront studio on the 5th floor.
We previously stayed prior to the refurbishment of the North Tower and its a great improvement. South Tower is not renovated.
Staff at this hotel are a delight and a special mention to the male with a NZ accent as he was very helpful.
I enjoyed swimming in the pool on a very hot day and surprising had the pool to myself. I guess most went to the beach.
Studios are comfortable with a good sized balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the beach views.
The room has a microwave and a toaster can be requested. They aren't provided in every room due to setting off fire alarms and having the fire brigade turn up and charging a hefty fee.
Make sure you do the scenic walk to Shelly Beach and drop into a lovely cafe called The Boathouse.
We are returning to the South Tower in April so will miss the ocean views.

Outstanding location only 20 m directly across from surf patrolled Manly Beach. No car needed. Ferry provides world class views of Sydney Harbour and National Park to downtown Sydney. Rest, relax and enjoy calming ocean waves that lull you into the Zen zone. Walking, biking to Shelley Beach. Swim, surf, paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkelling year round with wet suit. Water and air quality excellent. Safe city. Well lit Corso and esplanade. Outstanding friendly, courteous staff always willing to please. Comfortable studio, 1, 2 bedroom apartments have partial kitchen, 2 stove tops, medium fridge, small dishwasher, small clothes washer & dryer, safe. Inclusive Wi-Fi. Small private pool and function facilities. What makes this hotel the best kept secret is it's spectacular oceans views that gleam with the sunrise and sparkle teal, emerald blue hues. Car parking available at additional cost. Best to use public transport. A great spot to work in your room with such tranquil views.

We stayed in a beachfront recently renovated studio apartment, very tastefully, too. The apartment was very comfortable, the bed great, and we thoroughly appreciated sitting out on the balcony, overlooking the beach when we weren't out and about checking out the area. Every member of staff, from the Front Reception to Housekeeping were all very friendly, attentive and helpful. There was a guy from NZ on Front Reception who was particularly friendly, but can't remember his name. We would like to return again. Parking was also free for us as Accor members.
The only drawback was that the air-conditioning was a bit too warm and was not able to be reset by hotel staff.

As stated on other reviews. If you're staying at the south tower, you don't get the Sebel vibe/ 4-star hotel vibe. You can enter through the main bldg to get to the south tower but you still have to exit the main bldg in the back laneways to access the south tower.
This takes away the feeling that you're staying at Sebel.
Paying $389 a night because you want to experience a 4-star treatment but this hotel unfortunately falls off the standard.
Parking was really hard as well, it was very tight. We had a ute with a clearance of 1.9m, the problem was the parking was too tight and there were no spots available.
There's an option to double park and leave your keys with reception, you will not access to your vehicle between 2000-0800. You can do this if you don't mind strangers touching the inetrior your car during Covid19 and also if you don't have valuables.
Room styling was not similar to the photos advertised on there website.
Overall, I'd rather stay on an airbnb, with $389 a night, I'd most likely find an ocean view.

My wife and I chose to stay at the Sebel manly beach whilst recuperating from major surgery our room was in the south tower, it was very generous in size with plenty of room and also had a balcony with sea views over the SLSC, The lounge was very comfortable, which I was appreciative of over the few day we stayed there, and the bathroom had a very good shower with plenty of room. The location at the southern end of manly beach made everything (ferry terminal, shops and beach's ) within an easy walk, and with covid restrictions easing, restaurant's and Cafe's were open creating a wonderful vibe only the beach strip. We quickly found that advance bookings were required at the restaurants but the process was easy, just call or ask and show your vaccination certificate. My only negative for our stay was that the bed we had, had little support which made it uncomfortable to sleep on, the lounge which folded out into a bed had far more support. This however was our only negative, the beach cafe on site was outstanding for breakfast with a very relaxed atmosphere. The on site pools were quite good, with lounge chairs to relax on. On the whole would highly recommend the Manly Sebel, being in a great location, with friendly staff, with an improvement in the bedding top you couldn't go past it for families.

Fantastic location, so close to shelly beach, great snorkling, swimming then to come back to an amazing room with gorgeous views - not much beats this. Highly recommend the ocean view rooms, to wake up to the view of that amazing surf is worth the little extra. Staff are helpful and polite, location 10/10 with everything nearby. Doesnt have a restauarant, but who needs it with all the options around you and cafe/bar just below! Will definitely be back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Sebel Sydney Manly Beach a couple of weeks ago. We were visiting daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. First of all the location directly across from the beach cannot be beat! The hotel provides plenty of beach towels for guest use and there is even sunscreen if you forgot to pack some. My grandchildren loved the complementary popsicles and the pool. The staff is friendly and helpful and always looking to be sure you enjoying your stay. The rooms are comfortable and very clean with a nice sized mini fridge that we found helpful. Great value when the breakfast included rate is available. We stayed twice and were able to get it the second time. Deicous breakfast and wide variety to choose from for adults. However childrens breakfast was limited to one offering. Another great amenity was the complementary washer and dryer which we did use,I just want to say thank you to the staff who helped locate my grandsons hat which he hid in a drawer as we were leaving. It took a couple of days because other quests were occupying the room we used but he was very happy to have it back and we appreciate your efforts!!

heaps of restaurants

Things are a little different with covid restrictive rules, just go with the flow, all the staff were most helpful and very welcoming!
Now hear this....you really need to meet the Accor Sebel Manager Kyong Pang if you can, grab him for a chat or coffee, the most friendly person in Manly!!!

Yes, my room, South Tower, was a corner room and had 1 king, and 2 twins.
There is parking below the hotel but not a lot of spaces. Best to call the hotel and ask them to reserve a place for you, assuming you are staying in the hotel.
