Best B&B in the world. I have now stayed twice (about 12 nights overall). I don't want it to become for ever booked up but I also want to be fair to the lovely landlady Jill so here goes: 101 Addison is a beautiful Victorian gem in immaculate and original condition. Everything is provided and everything is of the highest quality. Even the beach towels are of Egyptian cotton. The piano is a grand, the audio player is Bose. The coffee capsules are Lavazza (this is Sydney, coffee capital of the world - so no instant sachets here). Morning tea on the wrought iron verandah - serene. The whole thing is a gentle, soothing and immaculate experience - much more than a B&B. And of course the location is superb. A quiet street 5 minutes from everything - the ferry wharf, the surf beaches to the east and the sheltered beaches to the west. If you get the chance jump at it.

This was the best experience I have ever had in Australia. It was a beautiful home only minutes away from the beach. The host was marvelous and so very generous. by far the best quality service I have had in a long time.

My partner and I first stayed at the gorgeous 101 Addison Rd about nine years ago. It was a beautiful sanctuary then and was equally divine on my return for a solo stay: a treat to myself. Nothing has been overlooked, from perfect kitchenette to the fluffy bathrobes, to the array of books on the shelves, to the umbrellas in the hallway. I could go on and on. 101 is so welcoming, homely, and full of original creative touches I was torn between spending my entire time just soaking up the space and venturing out to the nearby beach (a lovely 10-minute walk to Shelly Beach). I did both and could not have wished for a more relaxing stay. Jill is so accommodating with both check-in and check-out. Breakfast is provided and was plentiful and fresh. The bottle of wine that I enjoyed with a movie was the icing on the cake. I would love to return...hopefully without a nine-year gap next time. Thank you so much, Jill. Lisa x

The very friendly owner Jill, warmly welcomed us into her beautiful historical home which is 140 years old and just stunning. The interior is gorgeous, extremely comfortable. The rooms look as though they stepped out of a magazine. The double living room included a guitar and grand piano which we took advantage of. Her attention to detail is impeccable. There is nothing she hasn't thought of from Bluetooth speaker, to bath robes and wind jackets, from a complimentary bottle of wine to shortbreads, fruit bowl, good coffee and juice. We had so much to choose from for breakfast which included croissants, pastry snails, toast and jams, cereals, berries and yoghurt. The location is amazing. A quiet street with a view of St Patrick's up high on the hill. We were just moments from the beach, shops and the Corso. We had such a wonderful time we didn't want to leave so we ended up staying an extra night. Looking forward to going back.

Refreshing . . . to be welcomed by Jill on our arrival , and to feel the ambience as we entered her beautiful Federation home. Relaxing . . . as we enjoyed a 'cuppa' and settled into this spacious clean and comfortable 'Home away from Home' for the next three nights. Remarkable . . .Jill's all-encompassing cheerful helpful hospitality -the provision of extensive breakfasts, plus tea, coffee etc. at any time, and also the proximity to the beach and many more Manly sights and delights.

I stayed for the second time at this wonderful B&B. As soon as you arrive Jill greets you with a lovely pot of tea or coffee and beautiful pastries which were served outside on the terrace. People walking past commented on the beautiful garden and my friend and I pretended we lived there and thanked them! Oh how I would love to live here. Spotlessly clean but I love the feel of the place and the location is fabulous close to beautiful walks, restaurants and shops. I love that you have your own lounge area to have a wine or make a tea or coffee with TV and DVD's. So cosy. Rooms are beautiful and in the morning we had a beautiful breakfast served by Jill. Jill is such a vibrant and interesting lady who has lived here for 40 years. We could have talked to her for hours. Thank you so much Jill. Your B&B is so beautiful with a wonderful atmosphere. Stayed here from 31 Dec to 4 Jan, the end of my Aussie trip, which started on 19 Dec. During this trip, I stayed in a mixture of AirBnB, traditional hotels, service apartments, and I am glad I saved the best till last. I have always enjoyed that personal touch at traditional BnBs, and Jill's breakfast is so nice, and fresh, it really got our days started the right way. She has obviously done this for a while, and know exactly what tourists staying with her need to know about the local area, and how to make the most out of their stay in Manly. The rooms are spacious with really high ceilings, and the towels, linen, etc provided are really good quality too. Every night's sleep was a good sleep. Would recommend 101 Addison to anyone, and everyone!

We stayed over New Year. Jill was a fantastic host, breakfast on the terrace or in the lounge, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and breads. Having a space to relax in during the day and make drinks was especially appreciated. Highly recommended.

101 Addison is the perfect B&B for access to all that Manly & Sydney has to offer. It has character, style, comfort and old world charm, non of which you will find in a regular hotel or apartment. We stayed for 4 nights, and our overseas guests on their first Australian holiday loved the ambiance and location. It is an easy walk to the beach, ferry and restaurants. Jill is a fantastic host and provides a substantial fresh breakfast, although our German guests balked at the Vegemite. It is also a bonus to have bath robes, good towels and toiletries provided, as well as a small fridge, coffee, tea, sink etc at your disposal anytime. We only hope we get the opportunity to stay again. Ps... Did I mention for the musically talented there is a Grand Piano & guitar in the sitting room!!

The home is located in a beautiful neighbourhood for walking on the east side of Manly Beach. Walking time to the Beach is about 7 minutes. The home is architecturally beautiful and attractively furnished and decorated and includes a grand piano and an old guitar. The host was gracious and the breakfast, very good.
