We found the layout to be perfect for ourselves and our young daughter with oodles of space which is always welcome when traveling. Location was spot on - close to the beach and the harbor as well as shopping and restaurants. Hosts were a spirited couple who were happy to help out.

Five of us enjoyed Maria & Ted's lovely Windemere, back in September for 3 nights. Having two separate bedrooms, and a comfy sofa bed was perfect for 2 couples and a single. Maria made herself available to answer questions when we needed her, providing us with the makings of great breakfasts, while still managing to give us all the privacy...

We stayed here just for one night, but it was a great one night. Marie and Ted very welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. Bedroom, bath, and sitting room very nice. Everything tastefully decorated. Manly Beach area is truly heaven on earth. Would love to live here. So much to do and see. We'll be back, I hope, some day.

We really enjoyed our stay at Windermere, Ted and Maria were great hosts, very clean, comfortable and private rooms. Only a two minute walk onto the beach, it was great. Fantastic and beautiful location we will definately be staying at Windermere again soon.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids - age 11 and 13). The set up is 2 bedrooms, a sitting room (microwave, fridge, TV, sofa/chair), and 2 bathrooms. It has its own access to the rooms from the side of the house through a gate. 1 or 2 block walk to the beach down a short...

This is a first rate bed-and-breakfast located a short walk from the famous Manly beach and Corso. You are basically given the run of a part of the house for the duration of your stay. The rooms which form the accommodation are all located on the ground floor with your own access and comprise a number of delightful and spacious...

Very comfortable, clean accomodation. Maria could not be more helpful, as most Australians we met in Manly. A beautiful resort, and home from home at Windermere, a delightful change from hotel rooms. Highly recommend

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
