Detailed Reviews
I stayed at this Motel one night due to my usual lodgings in Randwick being booked (I have to stay in the area once a fortnight or so). The manager was polite and friendly on the phone, however the price was different from the website as he "had not got it updated yet". Not sure what the legalities of that are but I couldn't be bothered arguing.
Don't let the crystal clean website fool you. The whole building seems like an unkept, dirty relic stuck in the past complete with 2 empty and dirty vending machines by the front door, not used in years (get rid of them!!)
The room was an extension of the rest of the building - old, dirty, in a timewarp. All the furniture and fittings were from the 70's. Everything stained, broken, not working/closing properly. Bed was soft, sliding bathroom door was impossible to slide, lightbulbs out, "old room" smell, no power points (I had to unplug the tv to charge my phone). Compared to some well renovated places in the Randwick area, this place is a discrace. I honestly felt like I'd walked into a film set from a derelict ghetto American motel murder film.
I am guessing most of the visitors here are tourists, and never return so the manager isn't too bothered about impressing people. Each dollar that comes in goes into anything except improving the rooms.
Please, please, please, don't stay here. There are plenty of lodges etc around Randwick, Kensington and Coogee that offer a 1000x better amenities.

Good position as it is near to most attractions in the area. Has parking so was a drawcard. Older style accommodation but has all the basics. Price is reasonable in comparison to other places in the area. Would only stay for a night or two. Front desk was polite and helpful.

I read the reviews before staying and I must say wasn't expecting much, Price was cheap, Great location for sporting events, Room and bed were clean that the main thing. Great hotel for the boys, wouldn't take the family- would happily stay again with the boys, you pay for what you get, cheap accommodation means more spending money for the important things in life.

I have been coming here for nearly 30 years. Mainly for cricket trips so as such I only need a crash pad. I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful however this establishment is badly in need of a facelift. It's website states it opened in 1977 and the decor suggests nothing has changed in that time. No idea why the signage was taken down. Trying to be constructive here.

This place is stuck in the 70s. Down the hallway you could smell cigarettes. Carpet in room was stale, and the bed sheets smelt and felt like they had never been replaced. I think homeless druggies and prostitiutes stay in the other rooms.
The only positive was the bus stop was accross the road.
Would not re-commend you stay here.

Absolutely disgusting, very dated but hoped at least it was clean?? Unfortunately not. Needs a complete renovation. I don't know how it passes health inspection??
Definitely has bed bugs
Itchy as soon as I sat on the bed, I could never spend more than five minutes in that room let alone overnight. So depressing and filthy
Would never recommend this place to anyone EVER

+1
Arrived at the motel. didnt expect much and wasn't disappointed. Room smelt like damp stale dogs balls. A bit of air freshener did the trick. Someone else's food was still in my fridge. Room are very dated. Advice take your own sleeping bag to sleep on top of beds. Air con worked. Very quite. Car was free to park whilst at the stadium so saved an extra $25. Would I go back ? yes cause I'm a cheap.

Clean sheets. Clean bathroom. Pretty basic. Free off street parking. Decor is old, but who cares for the price you pay. If you're planning a trip with the boys to see a game at the SFS, SCG, or visiting Randwick turf club (All a walking distance), this is a good start. Also it's a quick taxi ride into the CBD, Darling harbor, or casino (Saturday night run cost us less than $35 from the casino). Wouldn't recommend this place as family accommodation for a planned holiday though. But if you're in need of a cheep no frills accommodation for your own version of "The Hangover", look no further.

I have stayed previously so I didn't have any outlandish expectations of fabulous rooms etc.As I open my wallet get my license ready make eye contact smile an state " Hi my partner made a reservation earlier this morning a female staff member who from the moment she looked at me, had obviously made her assumptions and was not going to explain anything . I was accused of using a different name previously an of leaving the room in a disgraceful state (very messy).!!.?? After all the accusations an the obviouse imposition I was now placed in, a supervising staff member stepped in an an kindly got the check in process going I thanked him very much. pretty distraught if I'm honest at this point. As everywhere is booked out his lady just abrubtly told me I was unwelcome an to find somewhere else when asked as to why it was very unclear to her also as to why she had jumped down my throat. During the check in she was very rude obviously displeased (slaming my I.D on the counter & room key) in being over ruled on her judgments, I asked calmly if I may know what alias I was apparently using an the exact state of the room so I might possibly be aware of someone using fraudulent material this time I took some photos to hopefully enlighten staff on a little bit of the filth every customer has to put up with. ( the previous room I stayed in also had a air con in which when used smelt like something had crawled in an died inside.) Photos : of the delightful sight above from the dated beding which almost equals the horror. Get a new cleaner an décor please would be very pleasant if it hadnt of been for these experiences.
