We needed to stay in Sydney for a night, and had been badly let down by another hotel. Fortunately the Admiral Collingwood was able to accommodate us at short notice, and all was as advertised. Happy to recommend, thank you Robert.

We stayed for a Saturday night in February and had a great stay. Our room, the Treetop room was quiet and the provisions for Breakfast were also very good. We chose to travel to the Opera House by Ferry and that was a marvellous experience. It was also very close for our visit to the Rozelle Markets. All in all...

This is a kind review pointing out some of the pleasures our guests find, so thank you Peter F. The Rozelle bric-a-brac Markets are a lot of fun on weekends - our particular favorite market, nearby is the Orange Grove, with organic fresh food, flowers and fashion.

I had visited the lodge earlier and was now on a three-week work trip, the room served as a nice living room to work in, with city skyline views. Cozy atmosphere, good service and nice staff, easy to recommend! The location was excellent for me, with good travel connections (bus and ferry) and shops nearby (check out Harris Farm market).

Many thanks for this kind review Arto, you have been the ideal guest and we agree the new Harris Farm gourmet supermarket, rivals Fortnum and Masons in Piccadilly. Good luck with your book.

Absolutely loved it, so homely and Rob the owner was fantastic. Sitting in the garden having breakfast was a real treat and we were able to just grab the ferry straight across to Circular Quay which was so handy, I will definately be returning.

We loved having Emma P stay with us, such a fun, happy person, lending a bit of glamour to the old place - not homely at all!. Thank you for this most kind review.

this is a separate room in a villa and bathroom/living room is public one all places is clean 只是觉得老板确实像前面的人说的有点矫情, 大家几个中国人吃好早餐后在清洗餐具, 不确定是用热水还是冷水, 他过去很严肃的而且是很不友好的说“ YOU MUST CLEAN BY WARM WATER” 为什么不可以友善的提醒了, 我们都是懂道理的人啊!

Thank you James 12342016 for this review and for highlighting one of our two obsessions - cleanliness. We do try to be fanatical about the place being clean - both for health as well as aesthetic reasons. However it seems our Manager failed in the other of our two obsessions - friendliness. It was inappropriate for him to embarrass you...

CZ12016 has, in a nutshell, cogently listed why guests seem to love staying here. We are twelve minutes by stunningly beautiful ferry trip from the centre of the City, but in delightful & quiet charming home from home. Thank you for this review

Nicely located away from the metropolis yet easy to hop on/off the ferries in and around the harbour. The owner, Rob, very helpful from the local history to making sure your stay goes well. Despite not being ensuite there were sufficeint bathrooms for all. Being on a flight path caused some disturbance but you would do well to avoid this...

We have stayed at the Admiral twice now and each time totally enjoyed ourselves. The owners are so helpful and the location is perfect, close to the ferries and it has that neighbourhood quiet feel, perfect for the day's end of a business trip. The rooms are spacious and beautifully accommodated, but the best thing is being able to get...

The Admiral Collingwood Lodge in Drummoyne is only 20 min ferry ride away from busy Sydney centre, so a perfect location not far from the water to relax after exploring this fascinating city. Very friendly and helpful staff, good shops and restaurants are close by in walking distance.

Gunnar Habitz has astutely hit on the exact reason we bought the hotel back in 2009 - wonderful stately heritage building, surrounded by charming gardens, harbour on each side and a great ferry service 12 minutes to the City centre. Many thanks for identifying this and writing such a kind review.
