We loved our experience at Tailwinds! It is a real jungle experience; all accommodations are set in the jungle, looking out towards the ocean, with lovely surf sounds in the distance. Accommodations are very comfortable. It's not for the faint-hearted, as the hike down to the beach takes about 10-15 minutes over slightly challenging terrain, but once there the beach...

Amazing location, just in the middle of the jungle, Tamara and her mom were just great to us, it's a "small" hotel located in a huge peace of jungle, it is a looong way there passing San Pancho but it was so worth it, you won't regret, the architecture is really something to watch there, they've made it so it...

If you're looking for peace and serenity and your own beach, this is it. Our hosts were amazing, and we loved having a "house" in the jungle, with no one around, and just the jungle and ocean sounds. Granted it is not for the faint of heart -- there are lots of steps to climb and the tejones are curious...

Tamara truely made us feel at home in her little piece of jungle. We spend a few nights (and a few too little =) at casa Tejone, which was super comfortable while also being built using lots of natural ressources from the area and minimizing the impact on this beautiful piece of land. it really feels like you are in...

We discovered Tailwind Jungle Lodge via coincidence during our research for an extensive road trip through Mexico and though we actually first wanted to travel solely through the Yucatan Peninsula and Chiapas & Tabasco, we could not resist but deciding to take the detour via domestic flight to Puerto Vallarta in order to be able to stay a few days...

Tailwind may not be perfect for everyone, but it sure was for us. It can be considered either a very rustic hotel or very luxurious camping, depending on which unit you stay in and how you approach the experience. Either way, Judy and Tigre are wonderful people and accommodating hosts. We found it helpful to have a car (ideally 4...

I drug my best friend all the way to Mexico to go stay in the jungle with me for 7 days to away from it all, and we landed at Tailwinds where Tamara and Jungle Judy made us feel right at home immediately. Even let my friend borrow Poncho-the-Dog as a night sentry to make her feel a little more...

We just returned from a week long holiday in Mexico! It was our first time traveling to Mexico and we didn't know much about the area or Tailwind. Tamara, the owner/manager, was amazing right from the beginning answering all of our questions via email in the months prior to the trip. We stayed in Casita Pumita, one of the larger...

Tailwind Jungle Lodge helps you realize it's fun to be adventurous. Whether you are on your own or with your partner, it's a place you really need to experience. After your stay, you'll realize that this would have been on your bucket list had you known it existed. This was a return visit for me and this year, I had...

I spent a week at Tailwind in February for a retreat. I absolutely loved it here! I stayed in the Palapa Tigre which has an amazing patio overlooking the trees, swimming pool and the ocean. There is a full size fridge, kitchen, bbq and dining table, all outdoors! The bedroom is mainly enclosed with two large closets. Tamara, Judy &...

The Tailwind Jungle Lodge is an eco-lodge, yoga retreat center and adventure travel company just north of San Pancho, Mexico. Our motto here is "enjoy life"! The blissful jungle, beach and ocean here make it easy to do just that. Our creative bungalows, casitas and palapas are perched amidst majestically swaying palm trees, giving the lodge a Swiss Family Robinson/treehouse type feel. Tailwind is perfect for the adventurous travelers who are looking for an active vacation (hiking, surfing, SUP, sea kayaking, yoga).
