Stayed at the rad during one of my many trips to presteigne, it was a wonderful experience no faults. We stayed in a double room - a few people from our party (other family members) also stayed in other rooms it was nice to see how different they all were. The beds were super cosy in room amenities such as... More

Food OK but what could be a lovely pub/hotel was let down by the general care-worn and shabbiness of the place. Carpets worn out, mis-matched furniture, poor standard of repairs to what is an exceptional historic building. Evidence of roof leaks to the annex and covered walkway were not impressive and reinforces the feeling of neglect. The staff were friendly... More

We stayed here for 2 nights for a fleeting visit to family who live in the town. The rooms were large. Ours had a double and a single , our daughters a double. Both rooms had a jacuzzi bath, shower and large TV. There were plenty of tea/coffee provisions in the room and it was warm. Breakfast served in a... More

Spent a week in Presteigne last week and would recommend the Radnorshire Arms, a family run business, the staff being so polite, helpful, efficient. Used the RA for Sunday lunch, weekday lunch and dinner with my two cousins (who live nearby) and their wives. The food is basically pub grub, but very good using fresh vegetables. Lunch time sandwiches are... More

My husband and I are regulars at the Rad each weekend.I was reading a review from someone from Australia and I heartily agree with her comments. Kirsty makes a really good latte we always enjoy ourselves each time we go.Sam does a thoroughly excellent job running the hotel always with a smile on her face

We stayed in room 4 with beautiful soft furnishings, a king sized bed and jacuzzi bath with shower over. Spacious and light, with windows on three sides and a great position over the gardens. We loved this historic and characterful building ( dates from 1615) and found Presteigne a much nicer location to stay in than Knighton where we had... More

The staff of this hotel deserve medals. They are so friendly and helpful one doesn't like to criticize anything at all. But honestly, they are battling against considerable odds.... To be fair, some of the rooms have been improved. My own room was comfy, with a good bed, enough storage space and an en suite bathroom which was adequate although... More

Arrived at 8.50 on Saturday for a meal. Told that they stopped taking meal bookings at 8.45 although their website says 9pm Asked if they could squeeze us in as only 2 of us but told not possible as chef already had a table of 7 to do. What kind of chef can't cope with another 2 on top of... More
