This old inn really looks the part with its black-and-white half-timbered exterior and oak pannelled interior. There is a bar with two real ales and a mixture of dark wooden tables, a lounge with armchairs and TV, restaurant and reception lobby. My room was clean and nicely decorated with a roomy bathroom and a comfortable bed plus all you need...

We visited in order to attend a local funeral . The staff are very helpful and attentive. Our room was clean , tidy , and spacious, with a very good wet room . The hotel was a fine old building dating back to 1616. We had one evening meal and one breakfast, and both were of a good standard. We...

From the discarded bath in the car park to the broken stone steps we gained a fairly accurate impression of what awaited us within. My colleague had a panelled room with a recently modernised bathroom. My room was very spacious and light but the bathroom was about 20 years overdue for a refit. Everything was clean, though. A few little...

Booked the hotel on a travelzoo deal and we were pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room. The building itself is steeped in history as is the local area and it is worth checking out before you travel as the information available at the hotel is very limited and they could do a lot more on this in my...

Dreadful. Came for lunch at 1pm and asked for 'Presteigne trout' on the menu. Barman said the trout had 'just arrived' and was not yet available. Half an hour later I asked again. Barman said the trout was not yet gutted. I asked him why the chef could not gut it now. Surely that would take only a minute or...

I've visited this hotel several times over the last two weeks. I've not stayed here overnight but I was looking for somewhere to have coffee and lunch and use the wifi during the week. The staff here made me feel very welcome from the moment I walked in. The coffee and lunches are really good and very reasonably priced. The...

I actually managed this hotel back in the late 80s early 90s for THF hotels. Hasn't changed a bit outside but inside some changes have taken place.... Whilst the changes themselves seem to make sense in modernising the reception area for example, the light oak panels seem an odd choice seeing that the original panneling in the hotel are jet...

A bargain B&B stay for a couple of nights. The place is lovely and the room was Fabulous. Food was exemplary, morning and evening, in fact on our first evening we had the oak panelled dining room entirely to ourselves (we ate early) - its lovely. Staff were absolutely great and very friendly - nothing seemed too much trouble. If...

We spent a fantastic two days staying in this wonderful old hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We stayed in the Woebly Room. It was a large room with lots of 'old' features yet complete with everything you would expect from a modern hotel and more- the jacuzzi bath was particularly inviting. Breakfast and dinner were both great

My daughter and I went to Sunday Lunch at the Radnorshire Arms today and had the Shank of Lamb followed by Apple Pie & Ice cream and I just wanted to say how nice and welcoming and friendly the Oak Bar was and how delicious the food was! Huge portions, great service and meat that just fell off the bone...
