Stayed at the hotel with family as we were attending a funeral for a family member. Frank went out of his way to make us all feel welcome taking the time to talk with us on a personal level. The views in the area and from the hotel of the hills are very peaceful and inside the bar is well...

We visited the restaurant of this hotel on a fact finder for our next holiday and were not disappointed with either the hotel or food. Although the hotel was quiet in November, we had a very warm welcome and were showed immediatly to our table for dinner. Local lamb and beef and a selection of local fresh vegetables, we couldn't...

The hotel sits in very attractive grounds (Grandmas Garden). The manager, Frank Wilson, was very welcoming and cheerful. We were upgraded to a bigger room which had the biggest bed I have ever seen. The bathroom was big also and clean. The restaurant menu was extensive and the food did not disappoint. The service was excellent. I cannot fault our...

Stayed for 2 nights whilst Rally GB was nearby. A good location and convenient for the stages. The rooms, welcome, bar, dinner and breakfast are good and would recommend. Breakfast is served from 8am and with the first car starting the stage early in the morning meant I missed the full english, but the choice of cereal, fruit and yoghurts...

Stayed for 2 nights last week, great location & really friendly welcome from the Manager, Frank. Was given a room upgrade, which was much appreciated. The evening meal with wine was great value and breakfasts hit the spot! Would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again soon!

This hotel is undergoing the refurbishment most people will say it needs, however, the existing older furnishings are in character with the building, very homely and comfortable. The furnishings in our room and that in the lounge were in keeping with the building so I think the owners will need to be careful in their choices to keep its character...

Rude, arrogant, unsympathetic and insulting Manager and Owner that are not the least bit interested in making your stay comfortable once they have your money! We were allocated a room directly about their function room where a party was being held and loud music was played until half past midnight. They did tell us that there was an event on...

Stayed here quite often but each time have felt like it was getting worse. Had the same room each time (room 8). This time we needed the heating on, got in the room after a wet day to find the window was left wide open, asked for heating to be turned on as room felt damp. Took ages for the...
