My husband and I made a last minute booking for us and our dog, Sidney. We arrived early to check in and was greeted by a lovely, warm lady who made us feel welcome. The room was fine, the hotel atmospheric and old. Even felt a few things! The vegetarian meals were cooked to order, but we weren't in any...

Popped in on a cycle trip for a coffee and rest. Greeted by log fire and friendly staff. Coffee and cake, advice on the route, a map and chat. Geared up for meals but happy for drinks, appears to be a nice spot to stay overnight with plenty of local walks in depths of midwales. Free wifi.

Impromptu lunch. Busy with half term, lots of children but still received prompt service. Easily accommodated special dietary requirements. Good menu choice of both meals and light lunches. Good surroundings with plenty of parking.

Spent nearly a week in the Brigands on a business trip. It's a lovely hotel, full of charm and character. The food was delicious and it had a varied dinner menu. However, the most positive aspect of the stay was the hotel staff! They were courteous and wanted to please - nothing was too much trouble. I'll certainly stay there...

I stayed at the Brigands Inn on 5th September for three nights with my husband and son in a family room, number nine, which is situated on the top floor. The beds were comfortable, the bed linen and towels were good quality and clean. The hotel is a lovely, old quirky place kept to a high standard. All the staff...

We are sorry that this booking was double booked. This was as a result of the booking system which was in place when we arrived. As new owners we have now up dated the System so that the chance of over bookings is now, greatly reduced. When this problem came to light we immediately contacted the person who booked, and...

Stayed for one night to break up the journey to North Wales. Lovely room with the best breakfast I've had in a while. Also had dinner, and food and service were excellent. Breaded welsh brie for starter and beef shin for main. Was really impressed and will certainly be back.

We passed the Brigand on our way to the coast and thought how nice it looked from the outside and decided to call in on our way back for lunch. We were not disappointed. The bar/restaurant was very welcoming. The staff friendly and helpful. We ordered fish and chips and ended up with what I can only describe as whale...

Came here after driving round Wales lost for a few hours, lovely decor inside and bar maid was nice and friendly, girl that took our order was very blunt, we both ordered roast pork and asked for a Yorkshire pudding each, when the food came out the pork came out first on the plate with just the Yorkshire pudding? Then...

Converted 15th Century coaching inn; there is accommodation , a restaurant and a bar area. There is a nice outside seating area for those nice sunning days. ( It was pouring down on the day we travelled there) Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good parking facilities. Every time we have passed by it always appears very busy/popular. Set on...
