Booked last minute for one night stay on a Friday night. Nice en suite room at front on 1st floor, however, as it was above the bar, we were able to hear all the conversations in the bar area until just after 11pm. Didn't really bother us but would have if we had wanted a quiet early night. Decor in...

Took my family here for a treat recently and oh boy it was far less of a treat than I had expected! Due to some mix up on their part the table wasn't ready for almost half an hour but I was made to feel that it was my fault. Drinks took forever to arrive and then we had to...

Food very good and excellent value. I had flat iron steak, not something you see on many menu's. Cooked just right and full of flavour. Service was efficient but more importantly we were made to feel at home and very welcome.

We called in to the Nags Head without a booking. There were four of us. The whole event was a delight. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Even though our meal was from the standard bar menu it can only be described as a gourmet eating experience. The food was full of flavour and looked inviting and interesting. This...

Tried this local eateries for lunch. Excellent atmosphere and food. Not being a fan of reviews, as I'm in the Trade, I am happy to say a nice word for The Nags as it is all too easy to put a place down! Not this one I'm pleased to say. Easy to pass without a glance, this place has an...

With friends we stayed one night mid week. Lovely rooms well equipped. BUT room got very warm - fan had been taken to be used elsewhere. Sleeping with the window open not really an option as this place is next to a well used main road. That is the negative over with. Staff were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. We had...

We stayed here for three nights in mid-October with our dog. The atmosphere of quiet professionalism is everywhere. The staff are very pleasant and want to help even down to recommending walks in the area. The room was perfect and the food in the restaurant was of a very high standard. This is inn keeping at a high level. Good...
