Stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We had the Eryri Suite (room 223) which had amazing sea views. The suite was huge. Our very own living area with sofa and two cute arm chairs looking out across the bay and onto Snowdon. The bedroom was a nice size with lots of wardrobe space (if you need it) with iron, ironing board and fan included if you needed those. Bathroom was large also with very big bath. The decor was beautiful and they have kept the Georgina look and feel to the highest, cleanest quality! The hotel is old, but super clean! We enjoyed breakfast as the hotel both mornings which was very generous and super tasty. We had dinner on the Saturday night in Hansom’s Which was incredible and I would highly recommend. We enjoyed a coffee in the coffee house which was a lovely setting to be in. They do afternoon tea, we didn’t have it but seeing others enjoy it looked scrumptious. The staff there are super friendly and helpful and do everything they can go you. Prior to our stay they answered questions we had and whilst there Emma did everything she could for us. Parking is on the sea front, which is not where the postcode takes you. The hotel parking is limited but we stayed off season so parking on the sea front was free. The pier and castle are very short walks from the hotel and the high street has cute little restaurants and tea shops. All in all we had an amazing time staying at the Bulkeley and would highly recommend staying there

We will not be going here again! Called in with my partner for a coffee mid-afternoon. The coffee lounge was half occupied and two staff behind the bar chatting amongst themselves. I was promptly told that there were no vacancies for non-residents .... even though a sign outside invited us in. They did not reply to my comment that there were empty tables. At a time when businesses are complaining about trade you do not need surly staff refusing to offer service .... their loss!

Faded Grandeur, that's how my husband described the Bulkeley Hotel, and rightly so, chandeliers and grand piano! We stayed here for 3 nights in mid September, on dinner bed and breakfast, and really enjoyed it. The decor is very grand and old fashioned, and that's not a criticism - we loved it. They had lots of hotel related memorabilia on the walls and beautiful art deco mirrors, a particularly gorgeous one in the Grill restaurant. Breakfasts were great, plenty of choice, We ate 2 nights in Hansoms Restaurant and the other night in the Grill Restaurant, for a change and all 3 meals were very good. Our room was huge with great view out towards the pier. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and its difficult to single anyone out. But here goes - my top 3. Firstly, Emma on Reception, because when we checked in, I forgot to ask for a morning paper to be delivered to our room and when we went down for our 1st breakfast I asked about it and Emma said yes, you can have them for the remaining 2 nights. She then said "I'm nipping across to the shop in a minute so if you like, I could fetch today's paper back for you". Which she then did - above and beyond the call of duty - thanks Emma. 2ndly Danielle on Reception and then in Hansoms Restaurant later - always super friendly, with a big smile on her face, and just never seemed to stop. And finally, young Tom, a waiter in Hansoms. His manner was wonderfully polite and traditional for such a young man - we loved the way he put his arm behind his back as he served us. Having said that, all the staff were great. I will say that service was sometimes a wee bit slower than we might have expected, but I feel sure that was because they are short staffed. I have seen their recruiting ads on Facebook. The place could do with a bit of TLC in some areas, but we absolutely loved it, a pleasant change from the the usual modern hotels, and we will definitely be back.

Know this hotel from previous trips to Beaumaris and have eaten there on a few occasions, but the first time we have booked a stay. Lovely welcome from the start and well looked after by all the staff from thereon. Comfortable room but does need some upgrading (but I do believe that the hotel is going through an upgrading), this did not detract us from our stay. Great food in both restaurants, and a wonderful breakfast. Lovely comfortable public sitting areas. There is an old fashioned charm to the building, has even got a shoeshine machine that was appreciated and hopefully will remain (not everybody wears trainers). The anti COVID preparations were good and we certainly felt safe. I would recommend this hotel even just for its food, the Hansom restaurant especially, but will definitely be back for a stay.
