Stayed here for a weekend recently. Very friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean room. Cheap and cheerful. Safe and secure. Yes it can be noisy when there is a band on in the pub below but we didn't book this place for a quiet getaway! Location is great, can walk to local shops/pubs/restaurants or a great base for exploring North... More

Returned here for HRH Festival, you couldn't possibly ask for more as it's a great place to stay with very friendly staff and owners. Stayed in an en suite room this time, which was lovely, clean and tidy. We all will be back again

we paid £60 for a triple room which was a double bunk bed and a double bed, yes you get what you pay for, but we didn't expect toilets on the floor below, a door that wouldn't lock properly, rubbish under the bed, a left over pizza and can in the cupboard in our room, a bin would of been... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night only. That was too long. The room was en suite on the top floor. It had not been cleaned since the last guests, or even longer. The bed linen was dirty, sheets and pillowcases stained. There were pubic hairs on the sheets. The shower was caked in mould around the whole... More

Stayed here while delivering a chalet. Staff were friendly enough but I had to wait until four to check in. Room was basic but clean and had a TV which was a bonus for a hostel room. Was a bit noisy as there is a bar below but didn't affect me to much as i was asleep early. Room was... More

Ok for people who don't mind cleanliness, don't mind sharing bathroom, late night music, the smell of febreeze/baby poo, Windows that don't open much, no staff or management to talk to when check out.

Visited The Castle for lunch after a recommendation via a Facebook group. I had called the venue regarding dietary requirements for my Coeliac son and they were pleased to accommodate us. They had a number of GF options and put our mind at rest with the care they would take to avoid any cross contamination. The Castle has a traditional... More

Stayed a couple of nights when in town to run the 75 mile Pen Llyn Ultra. Check in and paying for the room were easy. Room and ensuite were comfy and clean. Music didn't go on too late which meant we got to sleep before an early start. To be honest we probably could have slept anywhere after running for... More

My band The Spitting Pips played last night and I would give 6 stars if I could. Amazing place, great people, friendly and supportive. Perfect venue for any touring band or music lover. The hostel room was quality too, beds were very comfortable
