My friend and I had reserved a table for lunch following advice on this site. We were greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them throughout our meal. The food was first class and enjoyed in a beautiful conservatory looking out on to fabulous gardens. Would definately visit again. Top marks.A bonus was...

I stayed here with my husband to celebrate my 40th birthday. We had the most fantastic time. The check in was good - staff gave us a warm welcome, and our bags were carried to the room. We stayed in Castell 10 - I have to say this was a lovely room. There were views of the mountains, the estuary...

We were on a day visit to Portmeirion and had lunch at the Castell. The food and service were great and I would recommend it. Sunday lunch includes the entrance fee to Portmeirion but you need to show your booking reservation if you visit the village before you hVe lunch.

I took my wife for a birthday treat in Wales. We spent 2 lovely days at the celtic manor and move onto portmerinion for the last day. The staff were very friendly from the gentleman on reception who provided us with useful information regarding the village to the waiting on staff in the restaurant & the porter who showed us how to turn on the fire in our room! The Castell is clean & nicely decorated, we stayed...

Arrived in a very good mood having looked forward for a girl's night out. All went well until the food arrived, tasteless bland and boring. One steak was all fat and totally inedible and we were charged the full price but given the smallest glass of wine in recompense.a bottle would have been more appropriate or taken the meal off...

Stayed in the penthouse (lovely room - first class!) for a short break and could not fault any part of the trip, value, and service. We are sure to return to this gem of a hotel. The surrounding walks are also a real treat.

We stayed as we attended a 90th birthday party. The actual Castell itself is charming, with modern and old combined, within the most beautiful setting. Unforchantly there seems to be lack of management and leadership. On arrival we where rudely advised that we had come into the wrong entrance, the restaurant not the hotel, which was not signed. The gentlemen (think...
