Our second stay at Penmaenuchaf Hall having also stayed in March 2014. Upgraded to a luxury room so we had a bit more space this time and a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom - also ended up with a dual aspect corner room so great views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. Room was beautifully furnished with a very comfy...

We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary and Penmaenuchaf Hall did not disappoint us. The views of the estuary and hills from the hotel are gorgeous and it is well positioned for exploring this beautiful area of Wales. The rooms are elegant, the drawing room in particular is a charming room in which to take an aperitif...

We stayed here for two nights, this being ur second visit. On the first occasion there was very little to complain about however standards have since dropped. Most of the negatives have been mentioned by previous people some of whom stayed in 2013 so as some people point out, the owners don't act on feedback given. On both occasions we...

The hotel is set in one of the most beautiful locations in Wales and has been sympathetically furnished and decorated to make the most of the unique building - it very much feels like you are staying in a home rather than a faceless hotel. The staff were all very charming and attentive and the room we had (Scott) was...

We stayed at the hotel for a family holiday - two of us plus our 7 month old baby boy. Our room was gorgeous with plenty of room for the travel cot and for our little one to crawl around safely. We had cream tea with sparkly wine in the lounge with the fire roaring which was just lovely. We...

This was our second visit since Christmas to Pemaenuchaf Hotel. Both times we went as a group for lunch. Our Christmas experience was lovely the hotel being beautifully decorated for the season. The food was very good as was the wine (good value as well). So when we saw offers on in The Cambrian News we decided it was another...

Stayed 1 night on business, extremely we'll looked after. Stayed in 'Williams' room which is, I suspect, the one mentioned in a previous review as having a view of 'a wall' This is quite accurate, but I was warned about it on booking and as arriving in the dark, and leaving just after dawn, it wasn't an issue, but had...

This hotel is set beside the stunningly beautiful Mawddach Estuary near Dolgellau in Mid-Wales. The hotel is an old hall with beautifully furnished antique interiors in the communal rooms, and airy and light dining room and beautiful, comfortable bedrooms. The building internally and externally is wonderfully appointed, and the service and food is superb. Prices have risen since we went,...

I find it very difficult to understand some of the previous comments. The hotel is lovely, set in an idyllic location. It is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We arrived for afternoon tea, scone with jam and cream and an excellent bara brith washed down with a glass of sparkling rose, and tea of course! Our set dinner was excellent....

We were treated, by a friend, to Afternoon Tea for two and i have to say it was one of the best birthday presents ever! The staff were courteous and welcoming and were unfazed by our rucksack and muddy shoes having walked from Barmouth, along the stunningly beautiful Mawddach Trail, which had taken us 3 hours. We sat in a...
