There was a hiccup with our order but it was dealt with smoothly and professionally. The food was absolutely delicious. We plumped for fillet steak which, although pricey, was perfect. My husband still raves about the marmalade bread and butter pudding, the best pudding he's had in a long time. The staff and service were excellent and the atmosphere relaxed....

Rooms are above the (quite pricey) restaurant on a nice pedestrainised street. The facilities are OK but our room was very small backing onto the rear which should be quiet, except that the restaurant kitchen extractor is incredibly noisy, such that you won't want your window open from early to late evening. Tiny TV that was badly located mainly because...

This was a last minute stopover after visiting family in the midlands. Room was neat with immaculate ensuite facilities and comfortable double bed. Breakfast was first class with locally sourced ingredients served in a pleasantly set out restaurant. Will definitely stay there again!

Booked a room at the last minute. Everyone was so helpful and friendly that it felt more like home than a hotel. My room was smart, warm, and very comfortable. The bed was very comfy too. I loved the relaxed atmosphere.

Came across this restaurant by accident on a walking holiday. The food was absolutely delicious. An interesting menu and beautifully presented. Service good and friendly staff. Only downside was the lighting. A bit bright.

Not been here since it changed hands. To say we were pleasantly surprised was an understatement. To start I had the pork belly, scallops weren't on the menu but they were only too happy to oblige when my wife asked if they had any. For mains my wife had venison which is one of the best we've tasted and I...

We went here for dinner and the food was delicious, the staff accommodating and friendly. We also stayed over and the rooms are small but clean and I had a fairly good nights sleep with a yummy breakfast in the morning. Very much recommend.

We had a fantastic meal here on Friday night. The flavours were superb and the presentation was beautiful. Great service and a great price tag. Couldn't believe the price for the quality of food. Looking forward to coming back with out friends. Would 100% recommend it

As my wife and I arrived in Monmouth around midday yesterday, parking up in the convenient carpark to the rear of Church Street, my eye was drawn to the Naval Temple monument on the Kymin which overlooks this pretty town. On a beautifully clear and dry day, I was drawn to the idea of Nelson taking tea with Lady Hamilton,...

After looking online and reading great reviews I was looking forward to my nights stay at Number 7 Church Street.....I was hugely disappointed. It was a promising start, when I arrived a helpful chap welcomed me into the restaurant and took my bags, it promptly went down hill from there. He tried 3 rooms, unlocking and walking into them before...
