Room itself was ok with good decor - obviously recently decorated. But attention to detail poor - e.g. lightbulbs not working. Breakfast unfortunately bit chaotic. Got down there at 0730 and door still locked as chef hadn't arrived yet. Took a long time for the food to come and service in general was poor e.g. had to remind/ask again for...

We called in for a quick bite of lunch. We shared some nachos & had a beer & wine. The food was good so we thought we'd come back for dinner. We got a drink & sat down & pondered why the pub was so empty on a Thursday night. We soon realised one of the reasons was it was...

Nice pub and surroundings. Ordered a burger and a burrito, no extras, came to just under £20 without drinks. The food was average and over priced, Wetherspoons just over the road serve the same two meals for half the price and just as good if not tastier !! Nice pub though !!!

Arranged to meet family here for a breakfast. It was our first visit but having used it's sister restaurant, The Lime Tree in Chepstow, a few times we looked forward to enjoying a similar experience. And it didn't disappoint. In fact my veggie breakfast was identical to what I usually order in Chepstow. Coupled with good coffee it was a...

This is a lovely friendly small hotel, there are no parking facilities but there is a pay and display a few minutes away. The service and food is excellent. The room is good and well equipped but being on the main street there is considerable noise of people taking outside late at night add the sound of reversing lorries from...

Stayed here for the night after a dismal and wet cycling day. The room was of good size and the bathroom was good too. Service wasn't brilliant and could be better. Staff could have done with smiling for starters. Not entirely sure if would stay here again to be honest as I plan to do the trip by car hopefully.

Just popped in for a swift half during the shows interval. Very nice pub, very friendly and welcoming. Would look to stay here for a future visit. It was a large pub with lots of different seating areas including comfy sofas.

We decided to try the Punch House in Monmouth when all other options were either busy or full. What a mistake - Don't get me wrong I'm sure as I can see other guests have had a good experience, however, ours was far from that. The problem was the firstly the service from probably the rudest and most condescending female...

We stayed here on a Saturday night as we were at a wedding at The Rolls Golf Course 4 miles up the road. We arrived about 2:30pm and were greeted by a friendly chap who came around from the bar to the 'reception' on the other side of the wall. He showed us our room, which was up a few...
