Staff was really helpful and the facilities clean with everything you need. WiFi could do with extension to the cabins but if a cut from the outside world is what you desire then this is The perfect location.
Excellent in every way, beautiful spot great for the trails, walking or jus to get away. There was 6 of us spread across the Bed and Breakfast and 1 log cabin, we had brought our own food, however we had the breakfast on the Sunday cooked by Keith and it was marvellous
We were relieved to be able to book a short break at Mostyn Cottage after having all other holiday plans postponed due to Covid lockdown. The booking was very straightforward and the information provided by the hosts was very helpful. We had a great welcome including a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake which was delicious. The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was situated directly on one of the trails so was very convenient as a base for mountain biking and walking. It was really quiet the only sound being the roaring river. We had good weather but even on the first evening when it rained there was enough shelter from the trees to avoid getting too wet. The bike lock up and bike washing facilities were very good. The cabin was stocked with everything you could need for a self catering break and all utensils and crockery was of a very clean and high quality. The lounge was comfortable and I was pleased to find that the lighting was good for reading a problem I have with a lot of hotel and b&B accommodation. There were useful trail maps in the cabin …
Can't recommend Mostyn Cottage and the log cabins highly enough. A large lemon drizzle cake baked fresh for our arrival. You want to know more than that?! OK - friendly welcoming and helpful hosts who were attentive but not crowding. For a mountain biking family every detail, absolutely EVERY detail of the accommodation was spot on. Secure bike storage, perfectly equipped kitchen, including for coffee lovers! Spotlessly clean. And, a sofa bed a couple can actually sleep on and be comfortable, the only one i;ve ever slept on that I can say that about. 6 out of 5.
We came for two nights in July and absolutely loved it! Keith and Glenda are brilliant hosts. In fact Keith was so very kind enough to fix my mtb on the trails after we bumped into him allowing me to complete 'The Beast'. When we returned he then repaired it properly after a bike shop I'd been to had put my inner chain ring on back to front causing gearing problems. What a guy! needless to say we have booked to come back later this month. Book a visit, you won't be disappointed!
