We went and stayed at the George IV for two nights bed and breakfast. The room was very pleasant and we were able to open the window, which is a bonus. The guest above us was doing his 10000 steps in his room, with a squeaky floorboards. The first breakfast was a disappointment. The smoked haddock was very small and...

We were very comfortable in this 3 Star hotel. It was warm and cosy on the gloomier days, we slept well and the food was mostly good, breakfasts setting us up for the day and plenty of variety in the evening meals. The Manager did present as a man of few words but he seemed to be running a "tight...

Enjoyed our first coach holiday - Alfa's 5 day Welsh Scenic Railways. Beautiful weather to enjoy the steam train trips. Room 209 is large, well furnished, wall mounted flat screen TV and Castle view. Breakfasts very good, dinners good, just let down 1 night by 'unusual' veg. All meals served hot by very pleasant waiter. Didn't choose to join in...

Our room was simple but clean and the bed comfortable. We had what we needed as we had left it to the last moment to book near Portmerion. The hotel is filled with the over 65 traveler. The wait staff are lovely as was reception. Parking is on the opposite side of the road but that's no problem.

Terrible customer service from the foreign manager. Do not stay this hotel is worse than a nursing home. Hope this place collapses into the sea. I refused to stay but the ignorant manager refused to reverse my credit card payment. I have since reversed the transaction and gained a full refund. DO NOT STAY HERE ITS A DUMP

Week away with a group of friends. Hotel is dated and is undergoing some alterations but on the whole was charming, staff were very friendly and polite. Food was adequate and always piping hot whether it was porridge at breakfast or the evening meal. Packed lunches are available to buy for a very modest price for those wanting to go...

The George IV is a strange place the lounge looks like something out of an old peoples home with chairs side by side and a large television with cables hanging down. the decor is faded it could really do with a refurbishment.

Visited with my sister as part of an inclusive Alfa coach tour. I choose these because the hotels are normally very good and all have the same set menus so you know what you are going to get. There was a warm welcome on arrival and reception was very quick. Cases were portered to the rooms very promptly. The hotel...
