Well I don't even know where to start! This was a party of 9 on my father in laws 70th birthday......From the moment we pulled in to the car park the place just looked unkempt, but, looks can be deceiving so we ventured inside. The inside unfortunately is just as bad as the outside, it's old, unkempt, dark in the...

I went with a group of friends for a Christmas meal. The set menu had a good choice and everything we had was piping hot and really tasty. It was quiet the night we went, I don't know why because it's lovely inside and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have been there before and each...

Absolute hidden gem. From the management all the way through the staff, perfect! Such a warm welcome. Surroundings are out of this world. I'm suprised this place has not been used in a period drama. It is awesome. Food and drink is second to none, so fresh and plentiful. Rooms are to die for. A must visit if you are...

Place is good for a fantastic meal ,good selection on a fixed priced menu, staff always around and never to much trouble to help , the only slight down side is it's a big old building and a bit cold although everything is done to warm it up ( roaring log fire ) so nice

Was forced to find accommodation as visiting area. Handily located close to A55, near Chester and into North Wales. Being use to staying in Hotel chains, I found the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and added personal touches that I don't usually see. Lovely, homely decor. Ate in main restaraunt and found the food well presented...

Ate at the hotel in March for my mums birthday. Building itself looks uninviting and bland and old fashioned decor in side. Chairs in conservatory had food stains (sauces) on them so generally need a wipe once in a while Food was ok. Some of the party had beef which was dry and unappealing. I had a pie which was...

Amazing food both during the formal meal and evening reception, especially the deserts and the home made chicken goujons! And the staff were so friendly and laid back, thanks to them our wedding day was perfect and went at a nice relaxed pace that just flowed naturally.
