Plas Hafod is situated in pleasant surroundings and has a lot of character. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is very good, the restaurant is always busy with diners from the local area. The hotel has an unusual layout and the rooms do need a little updating but this does not effect the overall experience. The...

What a gem. This is a lovely country house hotel, with a warm welcome, great food and comfortable rooms. The bedrooms are all named, I was in Amelia, and it was comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the evening meal was superb. With well kept real ale as well, it was excellent. Breakfast was...

Met up with friends to have a really lovely lunch. The two course deal was really good and ample for a lunch time meal. Food was great and well presented. Staff were very polite and attentive. We took our time and at no point were "asked if we would like the bill" AKA please leave! We chatted after the meal...

We had a meal with a group of friends. We had our own room and had a great night out. The staff were great, the food of a very high standard (I had the 2 course option for £12.95) Which came out promptly and efficiently. The hotel is in a lovely rural setting and is well maintained both inside and...

Spent 2 nights here on business, the service is excellent the staff are pleasant, proficient and professional. The quality, presentation and flavour of the food is fantastic, the setting is again excellent and the only slightly negative aspect is some of the interior decor is a bit tired and dated.

We went for a birthday meal on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was busy but the service was very prompt and efficient. The staff took time out to interact with the kids. The food was amazing and the kids loved it. A big thank you to all the team.

We stayed just one night for my sister's diamond wedding anniversary meal. The hotel staff were wonderful, helpful and pleasant. The restaurant, both for our a la carte evening meal and for our party meal was very good, food was well prepared and service was efficient. The restaurant on Saturday evening was really busy - parking was crowded at this...

On the occasion of my wife’s 60th birthday we booked an afternoon tea for the family to celebrate. On arrival the staff were warm and friendly and led us to our table in the conservatory, but that welcome was to be the best part of the event. The table tops and general ambiance was tired and in need of a...

This hotel is quite dated (think tartan carpet) but lovely. The staff are all friendly and the rooms have been decorated with an individual style. It feels full of character in comparison to more modern places to stay. The grounds are also beautiful.
