Incredible scenery and a wonderful host (Tom)! We couldn't have asked for a better place to start our trip around Scotland. We stayed in June 2016 and were lucky to also have beautiful weather. Tom showed us around the area and we enjoyed evenings around the bonfire, long walks and even a swim in a nearby waterfall. Tom was a...

Can't describe how good the experience is here. It's so remote, the journey along the single track road taking you further and further away from civilisation until eventually you meet Tom at the edge of the Loch. A quick boat ride and the house comes into view. The house is wonderful and cosy with the fire and the paraffin lamps...

Absolutely fantastic few days at Skiary with our wonderful host Tom. Food was amazing, Tom is obviously very passionate about his cooking. Everything fresh, home made, and a taste sensation and if that wasn't enough its served in the greenhouse at the side of the Loch. Its a dining experience with a view to die for!

Skiary is phenomenal! Nothing is too much trouble for hosts Claire & Tom, the scenery is beautiful, food delicious & accommodation cosy. An idyllic setting to get away from it all, accessed on foot or motor launch,a glimpse of how things were before life got so hectic. Would love to return. Fiona & Mike

Genuinely one of the most amazing places in the UK to stay - the location, scenery, fresh air and the bounty of fish/shellfish available in loch hourn...plus the actual cottage itself - cozy, welcoming and comfy, and the hosts...Tom & Claire...two of the most willing, genuinely accommodating, funny and friendly people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting! Highly...

Two TGO Challengers walking coast to coast across Scotland were warmly welcomed to Skiary to enjoy tea, freshly made scones and the best jam I've tasted in years. Don't miss this place if you are boating or walking around Loch Hourn. Liz Robertson (walking with Susan Pow)

This fisherman's cottage guest house provides a wonderful holiday if you like peace, quiet, fabulous views and personal service. Tom and Claire looked after us so well, the meals and picnics were superb, beautiful home cooking to a high standard. Nothing was too much trouble and there were so many thoughtful touches in every room. Take warm pyjamas !

At the end of a 22mile single-track road, with wonderful scenery , we were met by Tom in his boat and loaded luggage and ourselves aboard. We felt as if we were on an adventure. On arrival, Claire met us with wellies and a warm smile and we knew this was going to be special. The cottage was so welcoming...

I echo all of the comments below; and if peace and tranquillity is what you are looking for, then you have found heaven. My wife and I visited Skiary for a couple of nights in September. We had been on Skye for four nights and were heading to Fort William for a further four nights. We thought two nights at...

I really cant add anything positive to what has already been said. This place is truly amazing. Due to "injury" I wasnt able to do the walking I wanted to do but never found myself bored, some gentle walking, some good reading and a few hours out in Toms boat left me feeling refreshed and invigorated when I came to...
