Four of us stayed here 13-16 October for a walking trip. We got off to a bad start when the barman flatly refused to allow us to drink our own wine at dinner. He acted as if corkage was an affront, but their wine list is pathetic. Only fizzy keg beers too. And we've stayed in places with far superior whisky selections. Between us, we had three rooms and all were small and suffered restricted headroom. Our twin had no wardrobe and no hanging space. The shower temperature was erratic and a written disclaimer in the room blames that on British Gas (how long does it take to fix such things?!). The food was generally poor: we had tough, overcooked pork, overcooked burgers, my chilli arrived stone cold and I never did get a soft fried egg. The female staff seemed genuinely to engage with the guests and to care, but their male colleagues seemed to find us an inconvenience. Sorry, but I will never return to this hotel; there are better places to stay in the Highlands.

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I stayed here this weekend and I can’t rate it highly enough. Great staff, nicely decorated, comfortable room and our meal in the brasserie was the best we have had this year. Highly recommended

This was an expensive dated hotel. The room was decorated with black sequinned and velvet cushions. In COVID times, especially it seems remarkable that these were still in situ. The bedding was very old and flat, so made for an uncomfortable night. The shower room was basic, again with thin towels! The evening meal was ok with a female staff member being especially friendly. Breakfast was horrible with very cheap produce being served and even the poached egg was Inedible as it was over cooked like a bullet. The owner did ask if everyone was ok and when I said no he just flounced off. We later saw the chef smoking in the car park which is definitely off putting. The next hotel we stayed on our Scottish holiday in was the same price but the standard was hugely superior. Crisp white linen, large fluffy pillows, a duvet that was comfortable obviously newer. The decor was fresh and smart, the bathroom luxurious. I would definitely advise to avoid the Invergarry hotel.

Thank you DiB143 for your second review, (third if I include google) - dear readers scroll down 4 reviews to Sherpa. I understand and get that we are not for you - you did not enjoy our Hotel and will not return and your entitled to review accordingly as anyone is on the internet. We dont please everyone, I totally get that and accept it. Just today for example I was told I had the worst Hotel on the planet - yes the 'planet' - by a gentleman who booked a small single room and complained that the room was small and a single................... drum beat............... he wanted a larger room with King bed. When I asked why he didnt book a King room with a King bed............. well readers, the mood..... you need a sense of humour..... Dealing with the general public can be interesting at times and we grow a thick skin in this trade..........looking forward to the review on that one ! Anyway - I digress....................... apologies DiB143......... I dont understand the need to write more than one review and target the Hotel. The feedback then becomes questionable. I dont understand the need to target velvet cushions so much - not sure what velvet cushions did in the world - naughty cushions ! I dont understand the old and flat bed when the mattresses have recently been replaced and the bedding comes in fresh daily from Fishers Linen Services Ltd - supplying half the Hotel in Scotland. We take the premium linen. I dont understand the dislike for people who smoke. My Head Chef Jim bob is particularly hard working and I will not deny him the odd smoke outside on his break. He's a really nice chap and regularly chats to the guests outside. Bullets eggs I do understand and if this happened I would replace for you immediately - thing is no-one has referred an egg to me as bullet like this, I am the flouncing owner who really does not know how to flounce. Is flounce a thing ? Incidentally bacon, sausages, eggs, black pudding - all from Lochaber and Speyside Highland butchers, mushrooms, tomatoes, bread all fresh from local supply in Inverness. Salmon from West Coast. Definitely not cheap. Anyway - the point being, no-one has referred to an egg as a bullet this year to allow said flouncing........... I must give it a go. So................ I will take my my bullet eggs, my cheap local Highland local produce, my flat beds, my smoky joe chef and flounce off. Where oh where is the cheer these days readers ? Flouncy Landlord - still smiling, just learning to flounce

Myself and my wife stayed the night for our wedding anniversary. The staff couldn't have been more friendlier and more welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was lovely and very comfy and in the evening we ate in their restaurant which was really nice. There was even a nice personal touch of an anniversary card from the hotel put on our table at evening dinner. Really nice place and will be sure to go back.

Last stop on our tour of Western Isles. Very friendly staff, especially Siobhaun and Sarah in the Brasserie, the meal in here was absolutely delicious Room was also nice, apart from the shower enclosure being on the small side. Breakfast was good served by the owner Nigel whom was also pleasant By far the best hotel we stayed in on our wee trip around the western isles Will be back one day
