From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Sarah we had a wonderful three nights - there is plenty to do in the area so using the House as a base was ideal. You can do long walks, or drive to view points w=here the train passes the viaduct or go on a ferry from Mallig. We found the...

From start to finish this was an amazing stay. We were picked up from the ferry at no extra charge and taken to this wonderful hotel, hidden away in stunning countryside with amazing sea views. Our room looked out over beautifully kept gardens, complete with peacocks! We couldn't wait to explore the grounds, which stretch down to the sea and...

A very interesting house and gardens beautifully restored and kept. We had a luxury front room with maximum comfort for us plus dog. Usually the dog means you are put out the back but not here! The walks out of the house are spectacular, through a lovely garden and down to the sea. Peaceful and so beautiful we enjoyed our...

Absolutely stunning house and location, the walk down to be beach is a must! Lots of space to sit down for a quiet drink or with a good group of you. Great Gin and Tonics made the view from the terrace on a sunny day something special. Service was spot on, we all loved it and will certainly be returning...

This is a restored Scottish mansion house by the sea near the village of Arisaig. Our bedroom was spacious, with a well equipped bathroom except for the absence of a radiator. The weather was glorious when we were there, but I would imagine the building would be cold during the more usual wet days and nights. Meals were average for...

My wife and I Stayed here for 2 nights in April 2017. We had had a long drive from Lancashire and when we turned down the gravel drive and got our first view of the house that was definitely a "Wow" moment. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the "Linnhe" room, which had wonderful views and is...

Set in woods near the sea, with a duck pond, chickens, peacocks, golden retrievers, real fires, pianos, a rocking horse and a doll's house, the Arisaig House hotel is like a setting from a children's book. The dogs and the staff gave a warm welcome and there were nice touches like proper coffee in the bedroom. The food was excellent...

Beautiful home and grounds in a spectacular location The bedrooms are a good size and nicely appointed, however our room was very cold, even with the heat on Unfortunately the cold theme continues with cold water in the bathrooms at peak times Strangely we ordered a hot breakfast and dinner in the dining room, these were delivered cold as well...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Arisaig House is a luxurious but homely guest house offering freshly prepared seasonal meals, picnic lunches, homemade treats and the chance to really put your feet up! Set within 19 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland A typical bedroom will have its share of views: the rose garden, the woodland garden beyond, and to the sea and maybe an island or two. The wonderful light is a constantly changing backdrop with the chance of a finale of a full west coast sunset blazing and gradually fading. Peace and comfort pervade. Our kitchen is supported by its own seasonal garden produce and a positive galaxy of local specialities: Seafood - lobster, scallops, crabs, local fresh salmon, smoked salmon and oysters - in demand worldwide but fresh on our doorstep; venison, game and hill lamb in their season. There's really no shortage of food pleasures at any time of year. Picnic lunches are another speciality, with all that walking country out there and a host of things to see and do. ... more   less
