just returned from our 3rd short stay at the cross haven, usual warm friendly welcome, always spotlessly clean and cosy, breakfasts are amazing, we return here because of these features. and having recently spent a few days at easter in a larger port patrick hotel which we would not return to, it could certainly learn a thing or two from...

Thank you for your positive comments and thank you for returning to Cross Haven for your recent stay in Stranraer. We hope to welcome you again in the future too. Perhaps next time you should ask for room 3 which is actually our biggest room, then you can do a full comparison! Thanks again Gayle

I really enjoyed my stay here - the room I had was beautiful, the bed was so comfy, the breakfast was great and set me up for a busy workday, and the owners were really lovely. I especially liked how many books there were in my room, really nice touch :)

I stopped off here during a weekend away on my motorbike. When I arrived, the garage was opened immediately for me to store my bike, which was great. The single room I had was very clean, had a VERY comfortable bed, decent-sized en-suite, TV, tea and coffee etc and more than adequate room for a single biker with hard motorcycle...

We have stayed with Gayle and her husband at least 5 or 6 times now - usually to catch a ferry the following day, and last July we stayed 4 nights for a holiday in the area. It is quiet, very comfortable, very clean - boh upstairs and downstairs. The breakfast is excellent with a good choice of cereals, fruit,...

Warm welcome, rooms clean and comfortable, not noisy at all - indeed the town is not the most active I have ever been in! Had to catch the morning ferry so missed what Im sure was a good breakfast.Realistic value too. Tip for other visitors, park behind the house up the alleyway to the left of the property.

Superb breakfast, lovely old house, former convent, rooms slightly small and a little dated, but very clean and comfy. Plenty of information for tourists, close to ferry for Ireland and a short drive to beaches. Would recommend to all.

Hi Thanks for your review and your positive comments. I believe you stayed in our single room which is slightly on the small side. Our doubles and twin rooms are generally larger than average.

Just like they used to be. Traditional old Fashioned BB with high ceilings and quirky en suites. Had 2 rooms, downstairs twin especially useful for disabled access. Owners very helpful, not too pushy after a long drive. Although on main road so rooms at front little noisy till after about 11 p.m. (opposite a leisure centre of sorts). Excellent level...

Stayed here as my usual stop over was fully booked. Room was ok if a little tired, location was within walking distance of a very good pub/restaurant. As I was away early, before breakfast, I asked for a packed breakfast. Very disappointing, I would have preferd if they had said no and knocked the price of breakfast off my bill....

I'm sorry but there seems to have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication here. For early departures we normally offer an early self service breakfast or a reduced room only rate. On this occasion I got the impression that you preferred a packed breakfast as this is what you specifically asked for. It was requested at very short notice and you...
