It was completely restored about four years ago, no one seems to know how old it was but it's walls are at least 60 cm thick Today although it retains its country charm it provides very nice accommodation... good value for money as booked it on a voucher deal. the service was also good and got what we paid for. The restaurant looked a bit tired though and needs a little bit of a facelift. Overall though I would recommend it.

We stayed at the Harviestoun hotel for two nights on our way to the north of Scotland. We had a good greeting when we arrived and the checking in process was quick and easy. The room that we were given was clean and tidy. The bed comfortable and the en suite of a good standard. We did not eat at... More

We stayed for one night to break our journey home. The staff are brilliant and so helpful. Our evening meal was perfection on a plate, we both had venison. Rooms are brilliant with comfy beds. Its very peaceful. We will definitely return.

12 of us had booked for a birthday celebration , late afternoon on a Sunday. The place was busy but the staff did a great job keeping us happy while serving the many other customers. Well done. Lovely location and lovely hotel. Our room had 2 small windows but we couldn't see out of either! One was a skylight and one was a foot level small window. It was OK for one night. We didn't dine but enjoyed a good breakfast. The dining room looked very nice in the old stables. Check in was good but breakfast... More
