My first visit to Strathfillan as a walker camping in the area, We found the facilities good, hot showers etc, the use of a kitchen very comfortable, the manager helpful in warning all campers of severe weather warning and offering alternative accommodation. we had six nights there 4 in tents and 2 in a pod, and found them both reasonable and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Steathfillan Wigwams is in an excellent location for access to mountains. My eldest daughter was attending an open day at Stirling and we decided to combine it with a few days munro bagging around Bridge of Orchy and Glencoe. The Wigwams are warm and comfortable with kettle and microwave and there are good showers/toilets and self-catering kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and in good order and Clemmy was an excellent and welcoming host.

Lovely spot, clean bathrooms and camping kitchen with everything you might need. The wigwams are comfy and great for a good nights sleep after a long day of hiking. The guy who runs the place took really good care of us. The morning after a terrible storm he checked the Highland Way we were intending to hike and warned us that crossing a bridge would not be possible because of flooding. He even offered a free coffee as consolation for our disappointment that we could not go on hiking that day! As the cab service was not operatint due to the storm, he took us to the nearest town himself. We couldn't be happier with our stay and the service.

I won't be rushing back after my recent visit! The girl in reception spent the 5 minutes i was there moaning about walkers instead of welcoming us, the paying guests. I text looking for firewood as the shop was closed, i asked "am i too late to buy firewood" few minutes later the guy came out, clearly raging and made a point of telling me he was in the middle of his tea!! just reply YES you are too late, that's the end of it but no, came out raging, was swearing in front of my 7 year old daughter then slammed the lid down on the wood store. the place needs a lot of funding to get it working again! no wifi up the hill which is fine for me but my kids, like every other kid enjoy a bit of online time!! the decking on some of the lodges is rotting away and dangerous, the roads up the hill are terrible and will cause damage to cars! the place is a sorry state. Paid £200 for 2 nights in Firewater Lodge, absolute rip off due to the state of it! i've been going to Strathfillan for years but won't be back until it is being run by people who can speak to customers in a less arrogant tone! they should be glad they have a job simple as that! stop the arrogance, if you are pissed off and hate your job, move on! don't take it out on the paying customers!…

So far, Strathfillan Wigwams was for me the best campground to pitch my tent on the West Highland Way: the view is amazing, you're literally surrounded by mountains! The field itself is great, big, flat, with campfire places, and not too crowded (in September at least). All needed facilities are on site: toilets, showers (1£ for 8min), laundry, small common kitchen, small shop. I met Clément, the "manager" of the place, and I have to say it was a really nice encounter. He might seem a little rude as first impression (especially if you arrive after 6pm, you better look for him to pay your spot), but it's understandable when you know he takes care of the whole place just by himself. He's a really nice person and helped me find solutions when I was sick, and booked a place for the next night (Tigh Na Fraoch B&B in Tyndrum, totally recommended). Take care Clément, I wish you the best…

Nice location and good spots for camping with fire pits and bench. Shop is basic but Green Welly only 1 min drive away. Toilets and showers basic but work. Unfortunately, like many of the reviews mention, the French guy that works at reception is a mannerless little child. Very unpleasant if you ever have to speak to him. The audacity to move to Scotland and not even learn a bit of etiquette is beyond pathetic. He’s clearly ruined a lot of people’s stay in this otherwise pleasant location.

Myself and a friend arrived later at night as first time campers so was a bit worried but the owners met us on arrival and gave us a tour around the site and showed all facilities available. They also then saw us struggling to build our tent and helped us pitch up. Gave us recommendations of best munros/walks as well! Very helpful.

We had a great experience at Wig Wam! We are first time campers and struggled to put up our tent, they helped us pitch up and sort us out, they were so welcoming and told us great things to do! Thanks so much!

On Day 4 I had to stop walking the West Highland Way due to a bad blister and a loose toenail - annoying as it was and still is, I was quite lucky that my journey ended at Strathfillan Wigwam Village. I not only received wonderful first aid, but also all sorts of other help from Klemy and the campsite staff in terms of accommodation, medical consultation and many other advices. In addition, the campsite (and wigwams) has everything you need to stay a little longer than planned. A shop well stocked (ice cream!), adequate toilet facilities with really long hot showers, a fully equipped shared kitchen, very comfortable wigwams and a view to dream of! I will finish walking the West Highland Way next year and I'm going to make sure to start it right here, spending my first night at Strathfillan Wigwam Village again. I’m looking forward to it!…

Worse place to stay. Checked in and bathroom and bedroom was dirty. Manager was rude about cleaning up , complaining he works long hrs, no time to see his gf or that he's on call. Chatted to several people who said this man was rude and unhelpful.
