After a long walk along the WHW the shperds house was the best we could ask for. the hut was very charming and had everything we needed. The eveninng meal that we booked in advance was very very good!!! also the breakfast basket is great. Our host Chris was very nice and welcoming. Highly reccomended!

We had a one night stay during our West Highland Way walk. Located about 5kms outside Rowardennan. We had a room upstairs with an ensuite called The Shepherds Room. Really clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a nice sitting area downstairs where we also had breakfast and dinner. There was also an option of staying in a little cabin located...

We had a very nice stay in the small hut after our hiking to Ben Lomond. The small hut is modern expanded with a great attention to detail in a cozy vintage style. The breakfast, served by Chris in the hut, was really awesome and freshly cooked. It was plenty of lovely food we could choose the night before. The...

This hut is very well appointed and organised. This was my second stop on the West Highland Way and was something a little different and quirky! I was met with a warm welcome by my host and introduced to my `hut'. It really is well kitted out for the size and I wanted for nothing. I had ordered supper and...

As in 2012 we stayed in the B&B because the Rowardennan hotel was full. In 2012 we were picked up and brought back to the hotel by the owner. We stayed in the house in a nice room and had a lovely breakfast. This year he bluntly refused to pick us up and we had to stay in the hut,...

It is a great pity that your expensive and entirely unnecessary taxi ride culminated in a very tawdry attempt by yourself to avoid paying the balance of your bill on arrival, only resolved when I had to threaten to eject you (the only time in all my years in this business I have ever had to do that, incidentally). Let's...

We decided to stay in the Shepherd´s Rest and could not believe its beauty. The acommodation is very picturesque. It seems small from the outside but you fit everything perfectly. It´s very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend it to couples looking for a romantic break.

This B&B is actually 5km before Rowardennan (to be considered if walking the WHW). If walking, pay attention to their directions on the website so you won't miss it (there's a small sign). It's a small caravan without much room for luggage (there's storage outside). The shower was a bit tricky, so make sure to read the instructions first... There...

I think it's important to point out that our exact location and distance from Rowardennan is on our homepage, so all our guests should be aware of it before they book. We have even put a map on the homepage so guests who are walking to us will understand exactly where we are and how this will fit in with...

We, like many others, stayed in the Shepherd's Hut while walking the West Highland Way. We arrived in the rain earlier than scheduled but were let into the hut without any problems. The hut itself was clean and beautifully decorated. We were amazed at how everything worked so well in such a small space. We had the walker's supper which...

I never believed in hidden gems but now I've found one. Two weeks ago ago my husband and I stayed in the shepherd's hut while walking the West Highland Way. He didn't know where we would be staying and was very surprised and very pleased when we arrived. The hut is perfect. It is pretty, quiet, cosy, romantic, very clean...

Our travel group stayed here on our WHW walk. My wife and I stayed in the Shepherd's Cabin. We do enjoy this type of unique accommodation. The place was neat as a pin and wonderful several course breakfast included. We are used to small places so had no trouble enjoying our stay. If you like to have room to spread...
