Mansewood Country House Hotel was a great find - it has a really nice feel about it. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and we had 2 good nights sleep on the extremely comfortable bed. The breakfasts were plentiful and really set us up for the day. We were so pleased we had booked dinner at Mansewood on both...

On a damp day Alan's cheerful welcome was gratifying (even if the dog seemed to take the view that he'd seen it all before!. A very comfortable room. Excellent food including the haggis stuffed chicken breast which is much to be recommended. A large breakfast and a feeling of well being in spite of the drizzle as we left. Very...

Liked this place. The location is good, the house itself has real character, nice décor- and has some nice rooms you can go in (so more like a hotel, than a b+b in that respect) Owners were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was above average, and the evening meal was excellent. If the weather had of been better it would...

This lovely spot was home to us for three nights. It is well located, giving the option of any number of day trips. The room was certainly warm, clean and adequate in size (but it had those awful thin plastic "glasses"). The owners were very friendly indeed and could not do enough to help us make the most of our...

A great welcome by Alan and Sharon who provided us with super breakfasts and evening meals. The room and facilities were excellent. Alan's tips on places to visit were invaluable. Thoroughly recommended.

3 generations of family were made to feel very welcome by Alan and Sharon in their lovely home. We arrived about 6pm with a hungry 3 year old in tow and Sharon very kindly went out of her way to prepare a lovely dinner for us all, which was very gratefully received. The hotel is warm and welcoming, the rooms...

We spent two nights here and it was exactly what we were hoping for. B&Bs can sometimes feel a bit restrictive if there is no public room. The Mansewood has a lovely sitting room with fire, and a wee bar too. My wife has very specific dietary requirements. Sharon and Alan were very thoughtful and helpful adjusting the standard menu...

An enjoyable bed and breakfast experience, fit for the purpose of four friends hillwalking in the area. Only reservation is that one had to be down for breakfast between 8 and 8.30 on a Sunday! Whatever the rationale, it is not best customer service. Otherwise really good, especially the cosy drinks area.
