Stayed 2 nights at Monachyle Mhor along with some friends celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary. We had courtyard rooms which were very comfortable; each being unique in layout and design; and which are very comfortable. The hotel is approx 4 - 5 miles up a single track road from Balquidder. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food...

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Monachyle Mhor recently. The staff are very attentive and the accommodation was good. Food was very nice, and drinks selection very good. Thought Julie in particular at reception was very good.

We stayed 2 nights at Monachyle Mhor on our honeymoon. The location is superb, I could easily spend days just wandering around the Lochs. The restaurant was of an extremely high standard, and staff were very accomodating, professional and friendly. Our room was very comfortable, if a little small but I think that was because we were fairly late in...

We were entertaining 2 Singaporean guests and decided to treat them to a stay at a truly Scottish hotel and Monachyle Mhor didn't disappoint. We drove the single track road hugging the lochside as it was getting dark occasionally tempted with a light here and there and turning the last corner there was the hotel lit up and looking every...

I was treated to a night here for my birthday. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms. Our room was a lovely mixture of old and modern. Had a definite romantic feel. The staff were very professional and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and whilst everything we ate was tasty, as a vegetarian I really didn't feel...

We stayed here for one night but would definitely stay for longer next time and are looking forward to returning. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms which was nicely decorated in a relaxed style. Their feature rooms also sound lovely and we look forward to staying in one of them on our next visit. The staff from reception...

We stayed in the Pilot Panther caravan at this hotel for a night in late August. Wonderful! We were a party of three adults a fitted well into the facility (a double bed plus bunks). Everything was well set up including firewood, bread, tea and coffee and also very warm bedding... important given the loch-side location of the caravan. The...

Our room was lovely - spacious, great bed, great shower that could be a steam shower, quiet room with expansive views over bucolic countryside, good reading lights etc. - no complaints at all about the room - everything was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. The staff seemed to be all very friendly young people whose aim was to please. Our...

We have stayed at Monachyle Mhor four times over the past 20 years, from when it was considered just a family bed and breakfast. We have always had an excellent stay, the service is always great and the staff attentive, the food is masterful under the watchful eye of owner, Tom Lewis, the accommodations, very comfortable and the location... wow!...

Amazing location by an isolated loch with nice decor but does not justify the £200/ rate per night. Maybe if the diner was included, which we still had to pay separetely for more than £70!!! Very small double room for 2 persons. The owner/chef is great and gave us good hints to carry on
