We flew in by helicopter on this snow-crisp beautiful Spring day. They made fresh scones for us with delicious jam and cream, and we had our tea in a comfortable bright sitting room with a fire. The staff are all lovely people and the facilities are terrific. It was our first trip, but we'll be staying overnight next time. A...

Spent one night celebrating my father's 86th birthday! Could not have had a better experience - stunning location, lovely hotel, great staff and superb food!! IT WAS PERFECT! The hotel is in an area of outstanding beauty - would like to have stayed longer to explore with our dogs. Dinner was out of this world - everything was delicious as...

Monachyle Mhor is situated 6 miles up a single track road. However do not let this put you off. Lovely views of the lochs and surrounding countryside. If you don't want to drive then just arrive in your helicopter - ours was in for a service the days we went !!!! Mywife and myself had two trips within the space...

Spent the weekend here, room was more like an apartment and food was terrific. Great little bar with open fire. Only slight drawback was noisy heating radiators which gurgled all night. Will certainly return, possibly in summer.

We had never stayed in a pet friendly hotel before but needed somewhere to stay on our journey up to the Isle of Skye with our two dogs. From the time of the booking to us leaving we cannot fault the staff and the efficiency at how everything was run. The room was so well equipped and a lot of...

Four of us spent the night here as a gift for my birthday and were delighted by the surroundings and quality of accommodation. The food was wonderful and I would be delighted to go back, despite the long and winding single track road which you have to travel to reach the hotel.

Just back from another fantastic stay here, just for one night this time, on dinner bed and breakfast basis. Stayed in a feature room in main building which was very spacious yet cosy and well decorated with a separate very spacious bathroom with shower and two wonderful slipper baths. In the room, which is very well equipped with everything you'd...

We were blessed with very unseasonal weather for what was our first trip to Monachyle Mhor. And what a trip! Blue skies, wisps of fog on the loch, and no wind. I can understand why people come from all over the world to experience this. It can be described as an old farm situated several miles up a dead end...

I've stayed at Monachyle a couple of times now and I can't wait to go back. The views, the rooms, the restaurant, the wine and whisky selections, the menu, the staff - all BRILLIANT. The scones - oh the scones are fabulous! Great way to escape from everything and your phone won't work - a total escape. Make sure you...

Slightly of the beaten track, but very worth the visit....quirky & full of character......if it's a rural retreat in the heart of Scotland that your looking for....Friendly helpful staff, interesting dinner menu and good wine list.
