We spent two days in Loch Lomond and this wee guest house had been our perfect place. Close to an excellent indian restaurant (highly recomended) is run by a lovely man whose name is Tom. Often he played with our wee bairn. Warm and well clean, we loved the breakfast, which was cooked by Tom himself. He's not a 5...

The first thing we were told was to avoid certain areas in the town at night due to the people being rough and not very friendly. From about 7pm the street was filled with rowdy pub goers. You couldn't hear the TV from all the noise outside. A night club basically next door and a very loud pub across the...

Manager very friendly & informative, the family room had a double & a single bed in clean and overly warm. It has tea & coffee making facilities plus a few biscuits, the manager is also the breakfast cook and it isn't the best to be honest but he tries his best bless him, my son wanted a banana he didn't...

It is tricky to find a b&b in some places in March, but the friendly Anchorage was open and Tommy was very welcoming, full of chat at stories. The b&b is small, basic and other have said ok value for the price you pay Easy access right near the lakeside park and will good off-road parking Not bad for a...

Anchorage is a no frills B&B with a few faults, but the rates are very good, so you get what you pay for. Mattress needed replacing, very lumpy and quite uncomfortable. Wi-fi connection kept dropping out and I had to go into the hall repeatedly to reconnect. According to the owner, this was to do with the fact my room...

Worst B & B I have ever stayed in. Room very crowded, dated with a musty smell that was noticable as soon as you entered. Creaky floor boards so that you could hear every noise & movement. Towels thin & passed their best. Bed uncomfortable & also had an unpleasant smell. Breakfast poor as all ingredients were of a poor...

Lovely stay, great location and very clean. Near beautiful greenery, close to restaurants, pubs and shopping. A yummy breakfast every morning which was nice. Totally recommendable to anyone who is in the area of Balloch! We will defiantly be back. Thanks for everything!

The triple ensuite room was small, but clean. The manager, who is local to the area, went the extra mile to help direct us to where to visit and eat in the town and he had some witty banter. The free wifi reception was good and the B&B is well situated for the train and bus routes as well as...

The guest house is located at a very good place. The station, the boat tours on Loch Lomond and restaurants and shops are just a stone's throw from Anchorage. The owners are lovely people. But the rooms need updating. Beds are a bit creaky. The bathrooms definitely need a makeover. Ok otherwise. There is ample parking space.

A friendly host, tidy tooms, and excellent breakfast. One of the better B&B's on we've seen here. And that for a mere 65 pounds a night! The only minor flaw were the somewhat cramped douche cabines. Nothing too large of an issue, though.
