My wife and I shared a 'sharing platter' yesterday. Service, food and quality was excellent. Much improved service from last visit. Unfortunately Santa left something sticking up the lum and fires could not be lit therefore dining area was quite cold. Temperature excluded, we did enjoy our lunch.

Great wee hotel with lovely friendly staff, very inviting bar with roaring fire nice to see the bar dog friendly too. We tried a few bars in balloch but always came back here due to the relaxed cosy atmosphere. Will definitely return.

We had a day out in Balloch and went to this hotel for a meal. It was busy but we were quickly served drinks and had our food order taken. The food was excellent. The bar and dining area were nicely decorated for Christmas and the old wooden beams and other features made it a nice place to relax over...

Such an authentic original venue. Had a delicious three course meal alongside a real log fire. One could choose from the standard menu or from a number of choices on the special Christmas menu. Will make sure that we visit this hotel restaurant next time we visit Scotland. Highly recommended!!

On arrival there was a lovely open fire roaring away and the bar was busy. We checked into our room which was warm and welcoming, however the floor had a bit of a slope. We put a bottle on the dressing table and in proceeded to slide off!!! We ordered fish and chips. If looked delicious on arrival. There was...

I have stayed at this hotel many times during the past few years. Let's start with it's location. It's a few minutes walk from both the bus and rail station. The trains into Glasgow run every 30 minutes and a day return after 9.30 is 5.80 with accompanying kids free. There are walks around the hotel through the park and...

We booked into the Balloch Hotel for our anniversary, we had stayed there before so thought it was a good choice. We were greeted by pleasant staff although they looked a bit stretched. We waited to get checked in, then were given the keys to room 12, after the walk upstairs, we walked through a grubby hallway to our room....

Right on the banks of the river and in town centre so can't go wrong with this location. Slight confusing as it is also called the Lockkeeper Inn-think restaurant and hotel are separately owned. Our booking included breakfast but hot food extra .Not that we needed it as what was on offer was excellent and more than adequate for us....

I stayed at the hotel for one night. The position is beautiful and the public rooms are nice, but the bedroom was lacking. Issues I encountered were: two of the room lights not working, stains over one wall, soap dispenser fell apart when trying to use, tissue dispenser fell off the wall when one tissue was pulled out, door to...
