We have stayed in a number of B&Bs around the UK and this is easily our favorite. Much of it has to do with the amazing breakfast, the great location, and the comfort of the bedrooms, but mostly it is to do with the proprietor. Allison is simply one of the warmest, friendliest, and most authentic people you will meet....

What a lovely clean b& b Alison is so nice she couldn't be more helpful.Even gave us pack up on our way home will deffo go again xwe stayed a couple of nights in family room then moved to double. Breakfast lovely. Near to loch lomond .

We stayed one night at the start of our Epic Scotland Tour (1800 miles in four days!). We booked the same evening and arrived fairly late. Even in the dark, Woodvale is easy to find and there is plenty of off-road parking on the large driveway in front of the property. We had a double room on the ground floor,...

We spent 3 wonderful and relaxing days at Woodvale at the end of our Scottish trip in September. We had a huge room in the attic, which allowed us to spread out and take stock before flying to Ireland. Alison is an amazing host, who gives 110% to all her guests. She has an excellent knowledge of the local area...

I stayed at this lovely B&B 3rd week in Sept and I was up at Loch Lomond on business. Alison the owner is delightful, very very helpful and lovely to speak with. I stay in a lot of hotels on business but I truly had forgot how good it feels to stay in a place which has the personal touch....

Fantastic stay here. Alison the host is brilliant, giving 110%. I was not able to have breakfast on one morning due to having to go out early, but I was given a pot of porridge and a dish of fresh berries to ensure I'd eaten. The cooked breakfast was sublime. Stayed here for 1 night in September whilst travelling in Scotland. Alison was an amazing host with a lot of tips on where to go to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good with tasty fresh fruit and it was very clean. We walked up to the castle thru a lovely park for amazing views of Loch Lomond.

Faultless! Alison is a wonderful hostess in this charming B and B set in a central location, just lovely throughout with perfect decor, wifi and great modern facilities. Alison offered great advice on where to eat and visit, so thoughtful. Well worth a visit, hard to fault here!

We have never stayed in Balloch before, it is a lovely little village with plenty to do and lovely views. Alison at Woodvale is very accommodating, helpful and friendly. My husband has an allergy to fabric softener so Alison didn't use any on our sheets and used no smelling air fresheners or cleaners. We will be back for next years...

When we arrived we had had some problems in other B&B but finding this one was such a nice surprise. Alison is the perfect host, really lovely and nice, and she made us feel really comfortable. She prepared a good scotish breakfast. And what about the room? Big, beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Really, it's the perfect B&B.
