The food at The Drovers Inn is excellent and the portion sizes are huge! The haggis, neeps and tatties were delicious, clean plates all round. The setting is lovely and the interior is very unique (loved the bear in Reception). All of he staff were so friendly and the service was fantastic. Very family friendly. Highly recommend.

The room was very simple but that was all I needed. There are a couple of bathrooms shared across the floor and they were well-cleaned. The bar was packed with hikers and travelers but they have extra rooms with seating for dinner. Though my room was right above the bar the noise was canceled by the floor. Food was good...

We stayed here on the 2nd night of our West Highland Way adventure. It's ideally situated and a welcome end after a long hard days walking! It does what it says on the tin, it's a proper traditional old hotel, the bar, food, drinks and staff are fab, if you are passing through I would definitely recommend a visit to...

No visit to Loch Lomond is complete until you've been to the Drovers. Operated as a bar since 1705, the building oozes history. Located at the very north of Loch Lomond it is a welcome stop for those walking the famous West Highland Way. The Drovers' main bar is cozy, heated in the cold months with two log burning stoves....

This place is like stepping back in time. I'm pretty sure the majority of it hasn't been redecorated since it was built lol. That being said it really adds to the experience of staying there. My friend and I stayed up on the 2nd floor in the 'gun room'. To be fair it did look newly decorated and was very...

Huge room with double jacuzzi which was so welcome as we were walking the West Highland Way. There was fresh towels and bubble bath laid out for us too. The room was huge but very warm and cosy. The bed linen was fresh, clean and comfy. This hotel is very old and looks it everywhere you look there is a...

We had drinks here recently as we travelled around Scotland and found this historic pub/hotel fascinating. The layout is mystical and enchanting inviting you to settle in for a well earned drink as you chat with the friendly staff. The service from the staff was excellent and the entire experience was definitely a bonus on our trip

We visited for Sunday dinner on a damp afternoon. It was lovely inside with all the tables lite by candlelight, in some of the rooms there was a log burner. I had hunters chicken, husband had a burger and my son had macaroni. All 3 of us thourghly enjoyed it and were too full for a dessert. The stuffed animals...

I am surprised by how many bad reviews there are of this accommodation. We stayed across the road in the newer block. The room was large and clean, and the bed comfortable. The heating worked and the staff were friendly. The location is superb with great views and the breakfast was the usual bed and breakfast fare and served promptly....

Located at the very top of Loch Lomond, The Drovers Inn is steeped in three centuries of Scottish tradition. In fact, Rob Roy himself has enjoyed hospitality at this world-reknowned hotel, bar and restaurant! Our residents vary from those who are stopping-over on their west highland way adventure, to those who are staying purely for the good food and entertainment. The bar regularly hosts local musicians and guests and guaranteed a lively time on Friday and Saturday nights. Come in for a heat - and stay for the warmth. ... more   less
