The owners were very nice, and I am sure they do their best, but the place needs an extreme makeover. If I could have looked in the rooms ahead of time, I would have never chosen to spend my money there. There were a few nice antiques, but they were mixed in with overall uncomfortable decor and atmosphere. And the... More

Stayed here for a business trip to McMinnville. The owners are very accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The morning breakfast was on time and was delicious. Don't miss a tour of the mansion. It is beautiful and reasonably priced. For your history buffs there is plenty of information on the tour about the history of... More

We stayed there in June 2016. We did the breakfast both mornings and took the tour of the house and grounds. We did the Biltmore a few years ago and found this so much more interesting. The pink lemonade was good too we had some after the tour. How does a mansion get air conditioning in the late 1800s? Take... More

A wonderful place to just get away! This is our 2nd two night stay, the food was delicious as usual and the owners are very pleasant and hospitable! My wife is already planning our next trip back. Plenty to do on site or visit the surrounding sites.

My husband I spent our honeymoon here and have been back for several anniversaries since then. We love the friendly atmosphere and the history behind the mansion. Charlien and George are gracious hosts who are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the estate. We love the rooms and gardens for their romantic feel and gorgeous views. Breakfast is always delicious and... More

We spent the weekend here and loved it. The room was beautiful, good food, comfy bed, and a full size coffee pot with real coffee and mugs. We spent most of Saturday sitting on rocking chairs and enjoying the amazing garden. We toured the mansion. The renovation Charlien and George have done is wonderful. It is truly a hidden gem.

Thank you for your delightful visit. Glad you enjoyed the coffee along with all the other parts of your stay. Being from South Louisiana, I appreciate real coffee and want to be able to make it the way I like it, too. More

My wife and I booked this "spur of the moment" and were very impressed. Our stay was in the Carriage House on the grounds beside the mansion. Very beautiful and secluded. We chose breakfast (delicious) in the high-walled courtyard beside a beautiful fountain. Large trees shade the property providing a beautiful setting. The service was very good.

Glad you found us while in the area for the Hwy. 127 "world's longest" yard sale. There are so many interesting and unusual things to do in this area, and we appreciate being part of those adventures. More

I only stayed one night and it was because I was conducting a local training the next day in McMinnville. I had a wonderful and easy check-in experience, and I was given a tour of my room (honeymoon suite). I did not go on the official tour or walk around the property. I simply checked-in, went to my room to... More

Thanks so much for taking time to write the kind review. We love to host business travelers. We try to provide a well-deserved break from their more traditional lodging, while at the same time providing the conveniences they need. We'll look forward to having you and your husband back for a more leisurely stay. More

The Good! Grounds are very nice and would be a nice place for a wedding. They have a separate building that can accommodate a large groups and do have bus tours stop to eat and the tea room looks nice although we didn't eat. The Bad! The room we stayed in called the Honeymoon Suite was not in the best... More

Thank you for your compliments about our gardens and entertainment, as well as for letting us know about the concerns you had during your stay a couple of months ago. Most of the latter have already been addressed, including carpet shampooing and spider spray. At the risk of a lengthy reply, I’d like to address the other issues you mentioned... More
